Jon is about as a friendly an owner as you can meet. He knows the area like the back of his hand. He can help you save time by directing to the "best" of what ever it is your looking for. He is a valuable resource for your stay. Whether it's local adventures or businesses, he knows them all. After a friendly welcome, you can relax knowing he's just a call away. But he's very respectful of your privacy.
The house is practically brand new. The house is spacious with 2 large bedrooms, an office, 1 large master bath with shower and tub and a smaller bath will tub/shower. The furniture is new and also very cozy and accommodating. I didn't try out the guest bedroom, but the master bed has a nice thick memory foam topper and was just what my back needed after previous nights on King sized bricks. The kitchen is spacious and ready for you to stock. It also has a dining table with a great view. Also, the property has a covered (and sided) carport to protect your car from the elements.
Jon's was the last leg of my week long road trip in NM. And even though some of my vacation previous to Jon didn't go as well as hoped, I recouped at this house and enjoyed the creature comforts. Honestly, it was just what I needed. I was able to relax and get my strength up before leaving. My road trip had been 1200 miles before I landed at Jon's. Just a short drive to Truth or Consequences, Elephant Butte Lake and Caballo Lake it was in a great central and private location for me. And if you're up to it, Silver City is just a little drive away.
Jon is a true outdoors man. He even owns a gun shop close by. Courteous, helpful and respectful, Jon is a great owner.
I've used VRBO before on a trip to Hawaii in 2004. If you've never used it before, treat yourself to a different experience. It's owner's like Jon that make VRBO a pleasant alternative to the hustle and bustle of road traveling in small rooms and trial sized amenities.
Give Jon a call if you're in the area. You won't be disappointed.
