The grassy lawn areas would provide a wonderful place for weddings and receptions. There is plenty of parking along the fence line and in the front driveway.

The scenic Red Road will take you to Isaac Hale Park where the surfers love to ride the waves, and a few more miles down the road you can soak in a geothermic-heated hot pond. The Volcanoes National Park is about 40 miles from the house. You can view waterfalls in Hilo, just about 38 miles away and beyond.
