This beautiful home is set back on a quiet residential street in which you enter thru an electric gate for optimal privacy and security. Here you will find a lovely landscaped fenced in a yard with native succulent plants and flowers in decorative colorful pots. The master bedroom has a private balcony offering views of the ocean through pines.
The large 2 car garage and the spacious driveway provide easy access and plenty of parking spaces for several cars within the electric gate.
Upon arrival you are greeted with complimentary hors d'oeuvres, a bottle of local wine or sparkling cider (upon request). There are baskets of local information, books and maps, wine tasting and spa passes to the famous spa on the plaza in downtown Monterey.
Vaulted wood ceilings, hardwood floors, two gas fireplaces, a state of the art kitchen with granite counter tops, custom cabinetry and a 2 car garage are only a few of the wonderful features of this home. Modern technology abounds here with 3 HDTV TV's, blue ray DVD players, cable, HBO, DVD library, IPod dock music system, high speed internet/Wifi, and more.
The spacious great room with its high ceilings and wall to wall French doors (4 sets) allows for plenty of natural light and creates that wonderful indoor outdoor feeling where a large outdoor patio with lounge chairs, table and umbrella, gas grill calls out to you to relax and be on vacation.
The living room area with its warm palate of Chinese red, burnt sienna, rust, and accents of ocean blue bring a harmonious pleasing balance to the senses. There is a large sectional couch with a chaise and two swivel rocker chairs that allow for both TV viewing and watching the fire or enjoying each other's company. Near by is a table that seats 6 and can expand to 10 where games can be played and meals enjoyed without feeling you have left the party.
The dream chef's kitchen is fully equipped to prepare a gourmet meal and the
kitchen island/bar has 3 comfortable swivel stools that are great for conversing with the cook, reading the newspaper or just hanging out. An energy efficient brand new washer and dryer are located between the kitchen and the wine/dining room.
Nearby in the adjoining room is the wine room/dining room with a beautiful wooden teak table that can also seat 8-10. In the cabinets one can find everything you could possibly need to set a beautiful table with coordinating placemats, tablecloths, napkins, china, stemware and decorative platters and bowls.
On the first floor are 3 bedrooms that can all be made into king beds with a memory foam topper or 2 twins in each room allowing for maximum flexibility. A total of 5 couples or 8 singles in beds and 2 in aero beds can be accommodated.
All beds have brand new mattresses and luxury linen and plenty of closet space. Each of bedrooms has been decorated with its own unique décor with earth toned colors of beige, chocolate, rust, choral and cream to coordinate with the rest of the house.
The spacious bathroom has a bath/shower combination with plush towels and amenities. The Den has a queen sofa bed with memory foam topper and HDTV /blue ray perfect for the kids to watch a favorite show or movie.
The entire upstairs comprising the master suite is quite spectacular with a beautiful modern teak framed king bed, HDTV with blue ray DVD over the gas fireplace and lounge chaise allowing for both watching the fire/TV or gazing out the window to the ocean thru the pines. Next to the French doors is a small desk and chair that provides a place to write, catch up on emails.
There is a wonderful deck with a bistro table to sit and enjoy a morning cup of coffee or amazing sunset glass of wine and watch the day turn into night with a blaze of colors that matches the gorgeous duvet cover and color theme of this romantic room.
A large walk-in-closet is an added bonus and the updated master bathroom has a separate soaking tub, shower, vessel sinks and is a joy to pamper oneself with the luxury bath towel, and amenities provided.

* There are areas on the Monterey Peninsula that require a 7 night minimum stay. Please call our office for more details if you need less than a week.
* 10.5% County transient occupancy tax applicable to base rental fees.
* Non-refundable cleaning fees are quoted separately from rent depending on number of guests $300 to $400, including infants and children.
* Stays of 30 days or more require mid-stay cleanings every two weeks that you will be responsible for scheduling with our Vacation House Manager assigned to the rental and paying cleaners for directly at the time each cleaning is performed at the rate of $25/hour. This is over and above the cleaning fee itemized in your contract.
* Rates are based on up to 8 guests, including infants and children. NO MORE THAN 10 GUESTS ALLOWED. Please add $25 per person per night over 8 guests including infants and children up to maximum of 10 guests.

* Cancellation Policy: If you cancel 60 days or less before your arrival date, you are eligible for a full refund only if we can re-rent the property for the same dates and rental rate less the $150 administration fee and any bank or PayPal fees incurred by the owner. If you cancel 60 days or more before your arrival date, you are eligible for a full refund of the rental amount less the $150 administration fee and any bank or PayPal fees incurred by owner. * Accidental Loss and Damage Waiver $75 instead of security deposit (covers up to $2,000 unintentional damage to house or its contents but does not cover negligent abuse or neglect)
* Credit Card number must be on file for security against any damages should damage be due to abuse or neglect and are not accidental in nature. Guest would be responsible for any uncovered damages.
* PG&E gas and electricity are paid by guest for rentals of 30 days or more.
* Full payment is due at time of booking if booked less than 60 days prior to arrival date.
* If booked more than 60 days in advance of arrival date, 50% of total amount is due to secure reservation with balance of total due 60 days prior to arrival date.
* Access information and directions will be provided once payment is made in full.
