This is the perfect house for a quiet weekend away. The house is very large and can comfortably accomodate a large group of people. We found everything we needed to keep us entertained (pool table, foosball, many large tvs, and a great hot tub!), as well as everything we needed to cook large meals for the group. Our dogs also loved how spacious the house was and the great area for them to walk around outside. There's also a super cozy fireplace in the basement and a large fire pit in the yard.

If you're looking for some time outside of the house, there's a great lake just a short walk down the road as well as some great shops in town which is only a short drive away.

The Hemlock house is a beautifully accommodating home with all the amenities you could need. The kitchen is modern well equipped for eating and drinking and the wood finish is amazing. Bedrooms are all very nice and comfortable and the wood branch curtain rods are the little details that make it pop. The house is split into two living quarters which work out well for our group. The finished basement is where all the fun happens. From the 60" tv to the hot tub, pool table, foosball, darts, card table and ATARI!!! Perfect for big families or groups of friends. Owner was quick to respond to our question via email. Highly recommend.

We truly enjoyed our stay in this beautiful home. It was filled with everything we needed for our stay; from soft towels and comfy couches to extra blankets for the chilly nights. The home is well-maintained, clean, and beautiful. The property owner was so helpful and informative; they really take great care of their guests' needs. The lower level game room kept the children occupied and the adults entertained. Cooking in the kitchens; there are two, was great for our Thanksgiving Feast. There are loads of books to read, games to play, and more than enough televisions for the sports fanatics and cartoon watchers. The outdoor fire pit was great for our Saturday afternoon BBQ extravaganza and evenings stunning for star gazing. The pictures do not really show the size of the home because it is spacious but cozy.
The hot tub was great for some relaxation and reflection. The beds are comfortable with super soft blankets; most of us were able to get good nights sleep because of the peacefulness of the area. The decor is perfect for a mountain home and the pictures shown are a true depiction of the interior. There aren’t enough great things to say about this home, we all had such a fabulous worry free time. This home is a true winner for large families with children; there is always something to do. Pecks Pond, although closed during this time, was a great place just to enjoy the spectacular views and nature. There are also several wine tasting locations for the adults. Thank you, for allowing us to spend a great Thanksgiving in your home; we now have more great memories.

The Hemlock House was a perfect location for my husband's birthday and reunion with many of his close friends. There was plenty of room and the kitchens made it so easy to stay in and cook with the group instead of having to go out and find a restaurant somewhere. Everyone had a great time! Owners were always very responsive and it was an easy process to reserve. Thanks for a great time!

I stayed from Friday until Monday morning. I liked it because it is 2 hrs away from NYC and it was in the heart of the Pocono mountains. Also i loved the fireplace and the game room. This is a perfect vacation for a person that wants to get away from the city life. I will definitely stay here again!!!!!!!!!

Our group of a dozen friends (plus two babies and two dogs) had an absolute blast in this terrific lodge. There was more than enough sleeping and lounging space, and our dogs enjoyed running wild in the surrounding woods... Best of all the two large, fully-equipped kitchens allowed us to rustle up some awesome meals for ourselves! Wi-Fi signal was strong throughout the house, and the hot tub made for a fun first night (chilly from the neck up, warm from the neck down ) Plus a game room! Woohoo! We ran out of hot water a couple of times during the weekend (between running the two dishwashers and everyone wanting to shower at the same time!) but hey, it was a holiday -- who cares? We'd highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a getaway destination. Convenient to both NYC and Philly.

We had such a wonderful time at Hemlock House. There are two separate "wings" in the home which allows privacy and multiple activities at once. The two kitchens were perfect for our group that was split between vegans and meat eaters, and the pool table was perfect for the guys. We enjoyed playing our video game console on the huge television and the hot tub was perfect in the chilly evenings. Best of all, our four-legged family member was welcome and had so much fun exploring the woods outside! This house was a little further than we normall drive but we all decided it was worth the trip and look forward to renting again next year! The only suggestions we have are a guest book and maybe a list of nearby amenities and directions (closest supermarket, ski mountain, etc.). Thanks for a wonderful weekend!

We had such an amazing weekend in the Poconos and at Dingman's Ferry. The house was just as described and easily accommodated the 20 of us that stayed there. It was very clean and nice, complete with towels and linens and the hot tub and game room were fantastic! It was only about 15 miles from skiing/snowboarding and a larger grocery store. Overall we had an amazing weekend and will definitely be returning!
