Newly remodeled, 2 bedroom, two bath, upscale oceanfront condominium with panoramic views of the beautiful Maui sunsets. As soon as you open the front door, you will be amazed at the breathtaking ocean view as you gaze at the channel between the islands of Molokai and Lanai. The beautiful sound of gentle waves below make this a most beautiful and tranquil retreat.
Fully stocked gourmet kitchen featuring corian countertops and quality appliances, berber carpet, new bamboo window coverings, 2 plasma flat screen TV's with Bose sound system, full size front loading washer and dryer, and five ceiling fans are just a few of the fantastic features of our 1100 square foot home.
Centrally located on Lower Honoapiilani Road in Kahana, we are just a few miles north of Lahaina and south of Kapalua. Walking distance to many restaurants, including world famous Roy's Kahana Bar & Grill, sports bars, shopping, health club, and convenient grocery store.

With 3 young daughters, this was our first real vacation besides road trips. We sure did pick the right place! Incredible location with a view I will never forget. Sitting out on the balcony staring out at Lanai and Molokai islands with nothing but tropical blue water in-between and for as far as the eye can see, wow. This is what I will remember about my trip and sunsets like I have never seen. All this from the comforts of the condo.
Clean, good size and well maintained. Very comfortable living room area, kitchen was well equipped and very modern as well as the bathrooms. Having a washer and dryer in the condo was a huge plus. Being located on the sixth floor, it was nice to have the parking spot in the garage be located next to the elevator and the condo itself was right next to the elevator which made it very easy to bring luggage up and down and groceries as well. Donna, the owner, is great as well, very easy to work with. We were very satisfied!
Nice beach in front of property, great for early morning walks. Not the best snorkeling but it is better the farther out you go. Just a couple properties down you can rent paddle boards and kayaks at a very affordable rate. I highly recommend doing this for the adventurous types, very fun!
Very close drive to some absolutely incredible snorkeling locations like Napili, Kapalua and Honolua bays, just to name a few. You have to go to the Gazebo for breakfast at least once during your trip, a long wait but well worth it. Located right before Napili Bay. Also, if you like sushi, I would highly recommend Sansei's in Kapalua.
Everything I have mentioned is within a couple miles or less of the condo. So, it goes with out saying, in addition to the property itself being great, with a view that is priceless, the overall location being in west Maui is just simply perfect!
In closing I highly recommend this rental!

Hololani Condo Rental - Sep/2011

The complex was exceptional, only steps from the beach - breathtaking views, especially the sunsets - with great BBQ set up.
Pool was great - not too busy in September, and lots of lounge chairs to relax pool-side.
Location was great - close to all amenities and just a few blocks from quick access to the highway.
Little hard to find the building when we arrived, though, because it was late and we were new to the area.
The condo itself was somewhat disappointing - not as it was advertised in the photos, which made it look like 2 private bedrooms (no mention that the 2nd bedroom off the lanai only had a curtain covering the doorway, and a japanese decorative sliding paper-like wall, so no privacy for the 2nd couple using that room), and the photos made it appear as though there was a separate living room and family room (but they were one in the same - just labelled differently in the photos); carpets and living furniture were stained; washer and dryer were barely usage the first few days, and then the washer was broken for the remaining 2 weeks; kitchen utensils and cookware needed to be cleaned before using because there was baked on food; the lanai furniture was also in disrepair - 1 chair could not be used at all because the seating was completely torn away, and 2 of the other chairs were not far behind; the mattress in the 2nd bedroom was extremely uncomfortable and the bedside lamp was broken; the advertised beach chairs and water sports items were not usable; we ended buying our own beach towels (the ones provided had seen better days) and beach chairs.
All that being said, now that we know what we are renting, and if some of the tired items were taken care of, we would definitely rent it again, because it was the perfect location.

Thank you for taking the time to create a review regarding my Hololani condo. I have made several attempts to respond to your review but there was a major glitch in the VRBO system and it kept giving me an error message. Please except my apology for the delay in responding to your remarks.
I take the views of my guests to heart and am sensitive to catering to my guests in a prompt and professional manner as I would expect for myself as a renter. If I am notified by a guest of a problem while they are staying I do everything in my power to resolve it while they are in the unit.
I can see from the way the photos were labeled on the website as living room and the same room as family room could have caused you some confusion. One of the photos that was labeled living room was taken before we painted and redecorated and looks different in colors. I have modified pictures so it is more clear. I am planning for new photographs to be taken during my next personal stay.
Some of the upgrades to the unit since your visit in September 2011 include new lanai furniture, new washing machine, new queen box springs and mattresses for both bedrooms, flat screen tv, new beach towels, beach chairs, umbrella and ice chests.
Regarding the second bedroom, it is decorated with a Shoji door, very common in Hawaii giving a more natural open feeling, and natural light. The curtain has been replaced with a bamboo partition giving the room additional privacy and a new queen box spring and mattress has been installed this month.
We have the unit deep cleaned every six months with steam cleaning of carpets and upholstery or on an as needed basis. In response to housekeeping issues you mentioned, I have notified housekeeping of your comments and assure they will be more diligent in checking that all kitchen utensils are ready for the next guests arriving.
I hope you know how valuable your comments are to helping manage and maintain my unit to its highest standards of comfort and cleanliness for my visiting guests.

I am so sorry I am so late on posting this. We had a lovely, lovely stay and thoroughly enjoyed your condo. The view are spectacular even though we were there during a time they were having flooding on Hawaii and Oahu due to all the rain. Didn't seem to thwart us too much, but we didn't see much of the whale spouts as they were out a long ways.
We do have a couple of suggestions. The condo needs more wine glasses. We went to several places trying to find just inexpensive non plastic, but had no luck. It would be nice to have some guidelines posted in the condo. Unfortunately, we did not have the contract with us and didn't remember the check out time. Fortunately, we had everything packed ready to go and had washed all the towels when the cleaning lady arrived. It would also be helpful to have some information on what to do with the leftover things, non perishables in the short term, such as cheeses, yogurt, crackers, etc., because we hate th just throw food away if it can be used, but also do not want to burden you with unwanted "stuff".

Stayed 6 weeks in 2011 and 8 weeks in 2012.
Great location and terrific views of ocean, sunsets, whales. If a problem arises, Donna is very prompt in correcting it. Carpet was very dirty, called Donna and she had it cleaned promptly. TV went out of order. She replaced it immediately. Mattress in master bedroom needs replacing. Big concave in it.

wanted to take the time to comment what a great time we had staying at your condo. We spent 10 wonderful days hanging out at the condo. The condo was in great shape and had a beautiful view. We spent time eating on the balcony watching the sea turtles playing in the surf. We took advantage of the barbacues and cooked some steaks for dinner. Spent sometime swimming in the pool and sunbathing. It was just a short drive to go and visit whalers village and do some shopping and a grab some food and hang out at the beach. We spent time going to Lahaina and walking through the craftfair at the banyon tree a site to see. Lahaina was a great little town to shop and grab some food. Besides gaining to much weight from all the eating, I can't wait to come back and do it all again. I would recommend to everyone come stay and have a great time. We did, every thing was great.

Breathtaking view

We were completely impressed with the home when we walked in and saw the beautiful view of the ocean. The deck was right over the pool and we sat on it every meal we were there to watch the ocean sunsets. The pool was nice and warm. The home is well appointed in the kitchen and the furnishings are very nice. Our only "complaint" was that it would get really warm inside while we were there - however there were nice windows and sliders that could be opened to let in the breeze every afternoon. Donna was very nice and accomodating to our needs. We would definitely stay here again!

Wonderful Experience!

We absolutely loved staying at this condo on our recent trip to Maui! The view from the lanai is stunning, and we watched sunsets every evening. We saw multiple sea turtles pop up, and even a seal swim by one night during dinner! The condo is lovely and situated in a perfect location- close to Lahaina and a number of other beaches, but with plenty of privacy as well. I would highly recommend staying here and we hope to be back soon!

Excellent Maui Condo

Exceeded our expectations the moment we opened the door. Within moments of being on the lanai saw a sea turtle swimming below. The decor was a beautiful blend of modern, oriental, and tropical. The location was just minutes away from Napili Bay and Black Rock some of the best snorkeling on Maui. The area was populated with all the conveniences needed but not overrun and artificial like Kihei and Weilea. Never wanted to leave. Definitely will return. Had a perfect vacation. Thank you Donna you went above and beyond to make us feel at home.

Perfect Maui Condo

Great Kahana location. Walking distance to shopping, snorkel shops, bar/restaurants. The condo is perfectly located between Lahaina to the south and the world class golf resort to the north. There is a great sunbathing/snorkeling beach just a mile or so to the north of the condo location. The condo was immaculately maintained and fully equipped--we made a full Thanksgiving dinner with the pots/pans provided. Hated to have to leave.
My only critique is that some year-round residents were less than friendly to children who were just having fun in the pool area--complained of "noise."
