Charlotte Apartment Rental Photos and Description
2 Bedrooms + Convertible bed(s), 2 Baths, Sleeps 4-6

One of the best, most walkable locations in Charlotte!

We own the entire 8-plex apartment building, and this is a second-floor 2br/2ba apartment with two off-street reserved parking spaces. Located on a quiet, tree-lined residential street in the Historic District of Dilworth, 1.5 miles from the central business district (Uptown), you'll be able to walk to 3 parks, two full-service grocery stores, a health-food market, 40+ restaurants (including raw/vegan, Indian, 3 Thai restaurants, Italian, burgers/pizza, sushi, etc.) wine shop, wine bar, yoga and massage studios, coffee shops, art galleries, consignment shops, neighborhood pubs and other amenities.

A transit stop 1/2 block away provides bus service directly to Uptown and SouthPark (upscale shopping) every 15 minutes. The light rail stop to Uptown is only a 15-minute walk away. Carolinas Medical Center is 4 minutes away by car, or an easy 15-20 minute walk.

We can help arrange a rental bike to take advantage of the bike lanes and paths in the neighborhood.

This super-comfortable, spotlessly clean apartment is in a historic 8-plex apartment building that we own, built in 1920, and was completely remodeled with attention to all the details. High ceilings, refinished original hardwood floors, original 2-panel doors with glass door knobs help the apartment maintain its original character.

We've recently undertaken a complete green renovation on the building, including dual- pane windows, high efficiency heating and cooling, energy efficient lighting, dual-flush toilets, ceiling fans, tankless water heaters and new insulation for comfort.

One great feature is the large private balcony, overlooking the front lawn and tree canopy, which provides a comfortable outdoor living and dining area to take advantage of Charlotte's wonderful climate, whether for breakfast in the morning or a glass of wine in the evening.

There is also a common area with a gas grill and outdoor dining for your use.

In the fully-equipped kitchen there are brand new cabinets, quartz countertops and stainless steel appliances, including a gas range and refrigerator with ice maker. A full-size washer and dryer are also included in the apartment for your use. There is a desk, wifi, and a small stereo cd player with a place for your Ipod or MP3 player. A large flat screen television in the living room is wifi enabled and streams Netflix and Hulu. There are flatscreen televisions in both bedrooms.

The master bedroom has a King bed with 400-thread count sheets, and a day bed in the second bedroom converts into two twin beds at night. The living room sofa converts into a queen-sized bed, providing combined total accommodations for 6. All bedding and mattresses are new.

The master bedroom has its own private bath with shower, in addition to a large walk-in closet. The apartment has two reserved parking spaces, an outdoor patio with gas grill, recycling facilities and composting. The grounds are well-landscaped with native and drought tolerant plantings. You'll feel safe and secure, with keyed access required for the building entrance and for the apartment.

Most of our guests are repeat clients who book in advance, so please book early. We think we've thought of everything you'll need for your visit, but if not, we live right around the corner so can help with anything you might need.

I'm a native Charlottean, so am happy to provide any help during your stay, including restaurant suggestions, art openings, events, etc. Just ask! You'll love living like a local. We look forward to hosting you.

Absolutely the best VRBO ever!

I have used VRBO many times in the past in my travels and have to say this was the most welcoming, warm and inviting apartment I have ever stayed. The apartment is in a beautifully restored building within the Dilworth Historic District, which is a lovely, walking neighborhood. We could tell at first sight that it was well maintained and cared for. Jim requested that I call him when we arrived so he would know we arrived safely which was I thought was very special. He answered promptly and made sure to say he was available if we had questions about the apartment or needed additional information about the area. (He had sent me info and a map via email on local shops, grocery stores and restaurants along with his recommendations - many within walking distance). When my sister and I arrived in the evening the lights were on, classical music was playing and a platter of fresh fruits, English muffins, coffee, cookies, nuts, dried pasta and sauce, and red wine were waiting for us. The refrigerator was stocked with orange juice, white wine, butter, and sparking water. I had everything I needed for dinner that night and breakfast the next morning. How many home owners think of all those little things. The living room was warm and comfortable and had a retro looking bar stocked with tonic/soda water, fresh limes and crystal containers of vodka, gin and scotch. There was also a note welcoming us and to enjoy the amenities. The bathrooms had thick, luxurious towels along with hotel sized soaps and lotions and a blow dryer. The bedrooms were beautifully decorated with lots of pillows and high quality linen and each room had plenty of drawers which made it easy to unpack and feel right at home. The apartment was on the second floor so there are stairs to climb and had a large open deck where we sat and watched the world go by. We came back to our, " home away from home," Sunday afternoon after completing a 2 day Avon Walk for Breast Cancer 39.3 mile walk and enjoyed a glass of wine on the deck while watching several families walking home with arms full of pumpkins from a local pumpkin patch. I would not hesitate to stay at any of the properties offered by Home Collection when I travel back to Charlotte. Jim and James' attention to detail made our stay in Charlotte even more special and I would highly recommend their properties to anyone. (James it was a pleasure meeting and talking with you and I hope our paths cross again)!

Great long-term stay for new grandbaby!

We thoroughly enjoyed the apartment! My son lives nearby, and we were in town for a month for the birth of our new grandbaby. We didn't want to make a nuisance of ourselves by staying with my son and daughter-in-law, and this was a great option!!!

Located in a safe and walkable neighborhood, the apartment is bright and airy, with a balcony overlooking the front lawn. The extra bedroom allowed us to have our older grandchildren stay with us for several nights, which was so nice.

We got to help out with our new grandbaby, and it was really nice to come home to a place of our own.

Everything was included from the laundry detergent to multiple sets of sheets and towels.

We took many walks through the historic district--gorgeous homes and Latta park was our favorite. The location can't be beat, just a mile from the hospital and 15 minutes from the airport.

Tastefully-decorated condo. Much better than any hotel. Comfortable beds. Well-appointed kitchen. Everything you need including basic supplies. Even had a bar with two limes and our choice of three spirits. My wife enjoyed the complimentary wines and the treats from Trader Joes. We travel most of the year and found this to feel more like coming home. The location is terrific. Restaurants within walking distance. Close to uptown and Southpark. The Dilworth community is lovely with its restored homes. Would highly recommend it and look forward to staying again in the future.

Charlotte Wedding

Magnolia Green was an incredible find for our (extended) family's 6-night stay in Charlotte. Excellent location for our Design Center wedding venue, and we were surprised at how easy it was for our friends and family who stayed in South Park to get back and forth to Magnolia Green. We had the two adjacent units which allowed for cooking and getting everyone together for meals, as well as #8 for helping the mother of the bride and others get some quiet time. Well-equipped kitchens and easy access to grocery shopping. Very accommodating hosts, including Lisa, who found all the extras we wanted.

All I can say say is "WOW!" The property, location, and ammenities were impeccable! Not only is the property close to public transit, but also great local restaurants and shops! I booked the property for a business convention in downtown, but Iam planning my next vacation so I can stay here!

We stayed for three nights and were very pleased with the accommodations. Everything was clean and the owners made sure we had a very comfortable and inviting stay. The location is walking distance from the grocery which made the use of the kitchen a snap.

My husband I cannot even begin to say how much we enjoyed our stay. The pictures did not convey the comfort zone that one feels the minute you drive through the blocks before pulling into the drive way.
We cannot wait to return next year!!

Convenient to Uptown, Light Rail

This was a great place to stay. As describe is was bright and spacious. Location was perfect for my group of 4. We were about a 15 min walk to the light rail system that takes you directly into the city. We were in town for the Clemson VT game, and the drive to the stadium was 5 minutes with all the traffic. The home was as described including a provided first dinner and alcohol. We decided to make our own dinner the first night, and all of the pots and pans were provided to make a huge meal. Thanks for everything Jim.
