We stayed at the house for a multi-generational family vacation in late July, our first visit to Martha's Vineyard. The house was perfect for our group, which included kids starting at 9 years old through grandparents in their 70s. The layout and bedrooms offered many options for where people could sleep, and the public areas (living room, kitchen, dining area) were spacious and bright. The wrap-around deck was perfect for barbecueing and dining outdoors. The house is very private, surrounded by trees and not close to other houses. It is also well-located in terms of being short drives from grocery stores and the major towns. One of the best parts is that the hosue is right on the lake, with beautiful views from the deck. We spent a lot of time in the kayaks that came with the house, exploring the lake and even paddling out to the mouth of the lake and into the ocean -- a great way to absorb the local, natural beauty -- very peaceful. The kids spent a lot of time at the community dock to swim in the lake. Our hosts were so warmly hospitable, without being invasive, and we felt very welcome. We all had a great time and would gladly return.
