My wife, Mayra, and I live in Florida, but we are mountain people at heart. Several years ago, we fell in love with the mountains of North Carolina, the people in the area, the art craft, and the climate. We dreamed of having a piece of land in those mountains and, eventually, a log cabin. Finally, in 2006 we found the perfect site for our future vacation home. Four years later, in 2010, we were finally able to make our dream a reality. At the end of 2011 we began to rent it to vacationers. It's a wonderful experiece to share our little piece of paradise with others and read about how much they enjoy it too. When we spend time there we feel transported to another world, a peaceful, beautiful, almost mystical world.
We decided to buy this piece of land because of the view, which is unbeatable any time of the year, any time of the day. It is secluded, but at the same time only a few minutes away from downtown Marion, where you can find restaurants, supermarkets, shops, pharmacies, and everything else you might need.
Our cabin is spacious, but cozy. It is decorated it with casual elegance and the furniture has been chosen with comfort in mind. It is not only close to Marion, but to many other attractions like the Pisgah National Forest, Lake Lure, Grandfather Mountain, Linville Caverns, Blowing Rock, and more.
