Luxury apartment located in the most famous and the largest pedestrian area of the heart of Paris, 'le village Montorgueil' in the 2nd arrondissement. This lovely 50 sq.m 2 -room apartment including a huge entrance, a large kitchen, a living room, a large bedroom and a shower room offers you maximum comfort and total quiet, essential for a wonderful stay.
Flooded with light, without any noise, not overlooked, very well equipped (with top-of-the-range appliances such as the Siemens washing machine/dryer or the Bose home cinema system). With its gracious and refined style, it is both chic and friendly but above all welcoming and relaxing.
Its large exotic and tropical plants as well as the beautiful Amazonian aquarium with its multicoloured fishes (which children are crazy about) end to give to this apartment all its charm and uniqueness of being a 'haven of peace in the heart of Paris', as our guests often say.
Located in a wonderful Haussman building of the end of the 19th century, very secure (a digital lock, housekeeper and entry phone), it is located on the 5th floor, with a recent glass-lift that will take you there, perfect !
Armoured door, massive oak floor, mouldings ( those of the living room are real wonders), Italian tiles... or wall composed of small natural lava pebbles will delight you.
Of course, the apartment is completely furnished. The kitchen with complete equipment (fridge/freezer, convection oven, microwave oven, vitroceramic cooktop, extractor hood, dishwasher, washer/dryer...) is in solid alder wood.
Two exquisite black leather couches including one 'Chesterfield' for 3 persons and the other convertible in a large bed for 2 adults (140 x 200 cm when open) will welcome you in the living room (there again, the equipment is very important with LCD television - flat screen television, home cinema, DVD player, CD, radio, cable, high speed Internet, Wi-Fi and phone will allow you to phone for free towards numerous countries).
A noteworthy queen bed (160 x 200 cm) very comfortable thanks to the top-of-the-range bedding and a dressing room await you in the bedroom, as well as a safe and a glass and steel desk.
Contemporary pieces of a young French artist adorn the light walls.
The shower room (completely covered with a luxury mosaic), cascade taps as well as the subtle 'rain' shower system should not be missed, and ventilation complete your comfort.
You can find dimmers in the entire apartment, this allows you to change the ambiance depending on your wishes but especially for a cosier ambiance.
Finally, two powerful, indispensable air-conditioning units refresh the apartment during the summer months.
As for the view, it is a must, as the two large French doors open on the 'mythical roofs of Paris', love at first sight guaranteed...
Its central position is ideal to discover Paris. You only need a few minutes to go on foot, and from the apartment, to the wonderful Louvre museum (and so the Louvre Pyramid), to the Pompidou Centre, to the sublime Tuileries Garden, to the Palais-Royal gardens, to the majestic Notre Dame Cathedral, to Le Marais district that cannot be missed or the mythical 'Saint-Germain-des-Prés', and of course to wander along the 'Seine' river where at night, the name 'Paris ville des Lumières' becomes evident.
It is important as well to underline that the security of the district is complete and guaranteed.
The access to the apartment is very easy: from the 'Roissy Charles de Gaulle' and the 'Orly' airports, you'll have to take the RER B up to 'les Halles' station (it's very fast and direct, between 35 and 40 minutes). From 'Gare du Nord' and 'Gare de Lyon', 15 minutes via cab, metro (line 4, 'les Halles' station) or RER. Many bus lines (lines 29-34-38-47-67-74-85) as well as metros (line 3 'Sentier' station, line 4 'les Halles' or 'Etienne Marcel' stations) and RER (A-B-D).
And naturally, the very central location of the apartment makes the accesses to Euro-Disney or to the Versailles castle very easy and very fast (approx. 45 min on average in RER).
The district is chic and trendy, with a 'bobo' population (the much talked-about bourgeois bohemians), young and dynamic. It is good to walk there and to have a coffee sit at one of the innumerable terraces, or go shopping for fresh products in the very abundant fruit, vegetable, meat, fish shops... which dot the Montorgueil street, with its famous 'Stohrer' bakery that is certainly one of Paris's finest...
For those who love fashion, this is a delight, beautiful boutiques of the greatest names are a few steps away from the apartment. For those who love antiques, the 'Passage du Grand Cerf' and the 'Galerie Vivienne' are very close.
It is actually such a charming district, so nice, which offers such quality of life, its privileged residents have affectionately called it 'le Village Montorgueil' and that, unlike Le Marais and Saint-Germain-des-Prés districts - very touristic - keeps all its authenticity and Parisian uniqueness, being a 'real district of Paris'.
Welcome to one of the jewels of the capital, welcome to the Village Montorgueil.
(Regarding the aquarium and the exotic plants, I'll make one very quick visit, one or two minutes are enough (and of course our guests don't need to be present), to feed the fishes and take care of the plants. Moreover, I take the opportunity to take the rubbish or eventual refuse out).
