Mo's Place in Shelburne Falls, owner-occupied by Maureen (''Mo'') Moore, is a vintage, 1870s home offering a fully furnished second floor apartment for travelers seeking a respite from life. Bounded by a lovely garden and views of the Berkshire hills, the home is a short walk down tree-lined streets to the village center, which is well-stocked with all the basic amenities, vibrant with the arts, blessed with great restaurants and coffee house, and rightly touted for its beautiful Bridge of Flowers that spans the Deerfield River. Despite its tiny size, the village has two bookstores, a wine merchant, a health food store and a grocery, a movie house specializing in vintage films as well as simulcast productions from the Metropolitan Opera and the London stage.
Located just off the scenic Mohawk Trail, it is conveniently located to the area's many attractions.
For outdoor enthusiasts there is easy access to snow sports at Berkshire East (10 minutes) and Mount Snow, VT (30-40 minutes), as well as hiking, biking, swimming, rafting, kayaking, rock-climbing and zip-lining in the milder months. It is equally well placed for exploring the cultural events in Amherst and Northampton,in Brattleboro, Vt, and in the Stockbridge area where you will find the Norman Rockwell Museum, Shakespeare and Company, and Jacob's Pillow--all convenient for day-tripping. Guests here can be as busy, or as quiet, as desired while enjoying the calm pace of an old-fashioned village.
Although there is no laundry on site, there is a conveniently located Laundromat in the village, just a minute or two away.
Smoking is not permitted anywhere on the property. Small, well supervised pets might be considered.
