Enjoy your island holiday in our fully equipped vacation home. Newly built in 2005, our 3 bedroom home is on a large, very private acreage. The property overlooks the Clyde River Valley and Rustico Bay, with distant views of the Gulf of St. Lawrence. Glasgow Hills Hideaway will appeal to those who enjoy peaceful mornings and relaxing evenings in a quiet, natural setting. Yet, the island's top tourism destinations are very close at hand. Within five minutes, you can be in New Glasgow, North Rustico or Cavendish. Its ideal central location, combined with its beautiful, private setting, make Glasgow Hills Hideaway an outstanding vacation choice.Ideal for two couples or a family.

PROS:
House was well equipped with everything you could possibly need
Owners were very responsive and available to any concerns/questions
Very quiet and serene location with a a beautiful wildflower field in the back yard
Great location - we loved the villages of North Rustico, Cavendish, Mayfield, and New Glasgow
Very clean
Wonderful restaurants nearby
CON:
My only comment is the house is about a 10 minute drive from town/beaches and is located on a dirt road. It was not a concern for us - in fact we rather enjoyed our quiet surroundings - but if you want to be in the middle of the action it might be something to consider.
OVERALL IMPRESSION: We hated to leave and while we can't come back this year, we hope to be back next year. We enjoyed our stay so much that we might consider a vacation home of our own on PEI!

An excellent central PEI location

This property was ideal for our extended family of 4's vacation. Layout of the house provides private space upstairs and down, and the views of the sunrise and sunset are wonderful. The kitchen is well-equipped and the property is extremely well maintained, inside and out. The owners are most helpful, e-mailing ahead of time and contacting us on arrival to make sure everything is alright. The telephone and internet were appreciated. Some good restaurants are a short distance away in New Glasgow, not to mention the renowned St. Ann's Church Lobster Dinners 5 minutes away. It was also a good location from which to travel along the Gulf Coast as well as into Charlottetown. After some busy days exploring the island, it was nice to come home to our country "retreat". We highly recommend this VRBO property to others vacationing on PEI.

The house was immaculate and comfortable, with everything you might need, from cookware to beach gear, fire pit, etc. The location was great, just short drive from Cavendish, several beaches, restaurants, etc. The owners were very helpful, just an email or phone call away.

What a wonderful place. Hidden away from the "tourists", yet close enough to all attractions, golf, restaurants, etc. The place was immaculate & the owners were nearby when needed-- yet were not intrusive. The pictures accurately describe the house.

Glasgow Hills Hideaway exceeded our expectations in every way. The owners seem to have thought of every possible thing to make their guests totally comfortable. The house was immaculate. This is a home away from home, not a cottage. We hated to leave and plan on returning next year.

Excellent Accommodation - lots of room and amenities for the four of us. Very very comfortable. Wendy and Jeff, you went out of your way to help us. The house layout made it easy to load and unload our golf equipment to the vehicle. Close to good golf courses, bakeries (mmm..), shopping and routes for touring the island. Only 40 minutes from Charlottetown or 15 minutes from Victoria By The Sea for a day outing. Only 10 minutes to Cynthia McLeod's Ceilidh for an entertaining evening. Highly recommended.
