A Vacation Chateau fit for royalty

We spent a week in Provence this summer at Villa Fontaine, which far exceeded our every expectation!
The grande opulence of the villa's exterior facade resembles a royal chateau belying the warmth of its interiors where the owners, Karen and Terry Warhol, have cleverly blended antiquity with modernity in every aspect.
The villa has five lovely bedrooms which lead onto a terrace or patio where we enjoyed our morning coffee with hot croissants from the local bakery. The cozy den with loads of movies, the sophisticated formal lounge with its fine pieces of art and a grand piano , a state of the art kitchen with all modern amenities, added to the luxury of the villa. The poolside flanked by a summer kitchen with a wood fired oven is perfect for outdoor entertaining or even just sitting around sipping sundowners whilst watching wild rabbits scampering in the adjacent gardens.
We were also given access to the wine cave with over 1000 bottles of excellent wines, surpassing the selection available at most restaurants.
The perfect location of Villa Fontaine with its close proximity to Aix-en Provence, Marseilles, Luberon and many vineyards made it very convenient to tour the area.
On the whole , thanks to Karen and Terry who gave us all the help and advice we needed, this has been one of our most amazing vacations ! Its been a truly Provencal experience, be it Villa Fontaine with its heady scents of lavender and pine ,or the fantastic restaurants and vineries reccomended by the owners or simply soaking in the sun, sights and sounds of the countryside !
We will definitely be back next summer but this time our stay will be longer as one week was just not enough !
Thank You Karen and Terry !
