I stayed at the Puerta al Mar from June 9, 2012 to June 13, 2012. I can without a doubt say it was most wonderful experience I've had. Making the reservation was quick and easy. The owner was very efficient and quickly responded to any questions and concerns I had. Once I arrived the staff was more than helpful to our needs.

The town and beach was pleasant and I had one of the most unforgettable experiences in my life. I plan to come back and stay here again. I recommended this to my friends and family.

The building is very nice and clean, its very private and much better than a commercial hotel. The condo felt like you were at home, yet it was very nicely decorated. The rooms and bathrooms were very clean and comfortable. There is a large swimming pool and just steps away from the gorgeous beach. There is a large balcony in the room and the living to enjoy the view the beautiful sunsets!

Its a A++++ in my book.

I hope many vacationers will enjoy it as much as we did.

this place is great, heatead outdoor pool, jacuzzi, great ocean and sunset views. everything was so close, we only used our car once and that was only just in case we could not find a pizza place, it turned out to be a block away.
everything you need is at a walking distance. we only used the taxi once and that was to get to a boat trip that we had signed up for. this condo is very spacious and very nice place to have friends over. during our stay, noone else seamed to be around because we were the only ones at the pool. the pool is about 5 feet tall and about 20-25 feet long. the only reason why i am giving it a 4 star is because i would of really liked that it had some kind of activities for the renters, like a paddleling board or the use of kayaks, but there are people right next door that will rent them for you for an additional price, other than that, this place is a great place for a week get away or even a month long vacation. Thank you soo much to the owners for letting us use your condo, as we really enjoyed our stay. thank you very much.

We just returned from a 2 week stay at Puerto al Mar and I have to say we are highly impressed! This condo is super clean and modern with the most comfortable king sized bed we've ever slept in on vacation - and what a beautiful oceanfront view from that bed in the mornings! On previous trips we've stayed both in Nuevo Vallarta and Zona Romantica, and Puerto al Mar wins hands-down for location. Because everything is within 4 or 5 blocks, we didn't have to rely on taxis or car rentals to get out and about. There is a 24 hour food market 1 1/2 blocks away and the famous Malecon is only about 4 blocks away. This distance was perfect for convenience and yet just far enough to keep us out of the noise and partying whilst trying to sleep at night. About 150 metres up the beach we found decent food at Barracuda's and 2 or 3 blocks away we also found Andariego's for awesome breakfasts! As the kitchen has all the modern amenties we have at home, we did a fair bit of cooking in the condo and ventured out when we didn't feel like cooking. The dishwasher made quick work of clean up on the days we decided to cook and the in-suite laundry was fabulous so that we didn't have to carry 2 weeks worth of clothes with us. The satellite TV was great although there were so many channels to chose from, I had a hard time dragging my husband away from it!

The property was managed by very kind and efficient staff and they were constantly working to make sure they stayed on top of everything and that is reflected in the cleanliness and upkeep of this complex. The pool was the perfect temperature and sparkling clean. We found the beach to be very nice and the ocean is very swimmable at this location. We also found there were a lot fewer beach vendors here than in Zona Romantica and we didn't feel harassed at all. I would recommend water socks though as there were some spots that were a little rocky.

Finally, we wish to thank the owners for allowing us to stay at their beautiful condo. All dealings with them were very prompt and professional and we appreciate it! From now on, our accommodation choice in Puerto Vallarta will be a no-brainer....can't wait for our next vacation here!

Our stay at Puenta Del Mar was great. The condo is right on the beach, close to shopping and the Malecon and the pictures are perfect representations of what to expect. We stayed at the condo with another couple who got the master bedroom leaving my wife and I to the second bedroom. Our primary complaint is that it took a couple of nights to get used to the music coming from Captain Don's bar across the street. On the nights when they had live music, it was very loud. There was also a large, barking dog in the auto repair shop's yard across the street. We could not get the sliding door to the balcony off the living room to lock, the ice machine in the fridge didn't make ice, the shower drain in our bathroom was plugged when we got there, the jacuzzi was under repair, there were only 2 lounge chairs assigned to our condo, etc. None of these were big deals, and the condo staff was very helpful,friendly, and courteous. It was just annoying to have to deal with these things on vacation, hence the 4 stars instead of 5.

My time in P.V. in this Condo was extremely enjoyable, and I highly recommend it for the following reasons. The location is good, close to town and tons of shopping, and exactly on the beach (20 feet from the ocean) with a nice large pool. There is an office downstairs which can be helpful with any need you might have. The condo is extremely modern, with state of the art kitchen, programmable coffee maker so you can wake up to fresh brewed coffee; crushed ice and blender for frozen exotic drinks, and spotless and well appointed furniture. The wireless internet is as fast as you could hope for and the T.V. has 60 Cable channels with CNN, ESPN etc. The highlight is each condo has THREE balconies! One off the living room with a table that seats 8 and 2 large comfortable LOUNGE CHAIRS; one off the Master bedroom with table and chairs that overlooks the ocean, and one off the 2nd bedroom which overlooks the town and mountainside. It is nice to crack the doors at night (in the master bedroom) and hear the waves crashing into the beach which makes a nice sound to go to sleep by! My experience of this condo was a 10 out of 10 in EACH possible category.

Nous avons séjourné deux semaines avec un couple d'amis. L'appartement est luxueux et la description est conforme.Beaucoup d'espace et une très belle décoration. La très grande chambre donne sur la mer. Quel plaisir de s'endormir au son des vagues. La deuxième chambre donne sur la rue en arrière avec un petit balcon. La rue est tranquille mais on entend la musique locale le soir. Tout le personnel qui travaille dans cette résidence est extrêment gentil. C'est très bien entretenu. Maria est une perle. Elle était très attentionnée et nous a beaucoup aidé. Les propriétaires sont aussi très à l'écoute des besoins. L'appartement est bien situé. Nous avons apprécié la superbe piscine car parfois les vagues sont fortes. Nous préférons ce secteur à la Zona romantica. C'est plus tranquille et typique. La promenade piétonne en bord de mer est juste à côté. Le supermarché est aussi tout proche. Pleins de restaurants. Pas besoin de voiture. Un plus aussi le fait d'avoir un chauffeur qui peut venir nous chercher à l'aeroport. Un endroit à recommander sans hésiter.Nous aurions bien aimé pouvoir rester plus longtemps. Ce sera pour une prochaine fois...

We enjoyed our stay in this condo wich has a fantastic location. Close to everything. But the most important is the cleanliness of the appartment, the gentleness of the people taking care of the site, they were very attentive. We had a very good service with the owner and I would recommend this place to any of my family or friends. We enjoyed our night meals in a small restaurant on the beach right next to the condo, not expensive and very very good food. I would not hesitate in returning for another vacation. Downtown Beach-Front Location Was AMAZING!!!

We had a wonderful time and loved staying in the Condo. Everything was exactly as described. It had amazing views and we were able to see the fireworks clearly every night. We really enjoyed being directly on the BEACH and the pool was just perfect.. Walking to town was quick and enjoyable and all the local restaurants on the beach were perfect for us. We loved every minute of our stay and would definitely stay there again!! Sara & Family - CA
