One of the best villas we have ever stayed in

A wonderful villa for facilities and location. Is there another villa in Sorrento with such a wonderful view across the Bay of Naples and so close to the main square?

Add to that private parking within a beautiful garden and a wonderful host and agent, it is hard to imagine a better villa in Italy and possibly anywhere on the med.

Highly recommended.
Owner's Response: Thank you for your wonderful comments.
All the best!

Paradiso

Cece/BB/Nick TX/OK
Review Submitted: July 2, 2009 Date of Stay: June 2009
It is difficult to return to a normal life after being in paradise. Three of us lived in Villa Donna Elisa for eleven days while we explored the beauty of Sorrento, Capri, and the Amalfi Coast. Everything you have read about this villa is absolutely true. It is amazing...the front of the villa has stunning gardens followed by a view of the cliffs of Sorrento, the sea, and Vesuvius. Each room has a terrace view where we watched the morning sunrise as boats entered the Marina Piccola. Every evening we sat on the terrace or roof top with cameras, as we captured the mists enveloping Vesuvius or the sun sinking into the sea.
The area in back of the house is walled and gated; again you are surrounded by lush plants and flowers. Once you open the gate, you are lured by shops, restaurants, and sights to fill your every fancy...Sorrento.
We highly recommend this vacation property not only because it is so lovely, but also because it is incredibly comfortable, spacious, and immaculate. The villa is lovingly cared for by owner Donna Elisa. Visiting with her about her gardens and Sorrento was a highlight for us. She is a true lady with an intelligence that enhances her natural charm. We found her to be an unfailingly gracious and attentive hostess.
We are ready to return to paradise!

Perfect, Perfect, Perfect

PERFECT, PERFECT, PERFECT

We spent two wonderful weeks here on vacation. Staying at Villa Donna Elisa absolutely made the vacation a memorable and delightful experience. It was like having a spectacular private Villa in the most wonderful location in Sorrento. The Villa itself is what really made the trip.
The first “Perfect” is the location. First of all, you are in Sorrento, which is wonderfully situated to explore the Amalfi Coast, the Islands of Capri and Ischia, and Pompeii. The Villa is also tremendously located in Sorrento. While being a quiet location, situated on the spectacular cliff overlooking the Marina and the Bay of Naples, it is only a short walk to the center of town and the train/bus station. Sorrento is a great town to stay in if you are going to stay a week or more. It is big enough to have a great variety of stores, restaurants and attractions, but still small enough to feel safe and to be able to walk to most locations.
The second “Perfect” is the Villa itself. It is a veritable private park with spectacular gardens. In Italian Villa style, you enter the walled compound through locked gates. You are now in your own private sanctuary that appears like a set from a Hollywood movie. You have the entire, very spacious second (top) floor of the spotless, beautiful Villa. High ceilings, tile floors, spectacular windows and doors. Kitchen, living room, dinning room, multiple terraces that overlook the incomparable view. There are no details that are overlooked. You will fall in love with this place. It was far above my very high expectations.
The final “Perfect” is Donna Elisa herself. Charming, intelligent, helpful, unobtrusive. The perfect hostess, and with good reason. She is from a family of hoteliers and has been in the business of running a great hotel most of her life. There is also her business associate, Bruno who is equally charming and helpful.
I have never written as glowing a review as this one. I almost hesitate to do so because I almost want to keep it a secret. When something is this good, however, the news will spread. Don’t hesitate to reserve your vacation here. You will only be disappointed if you miss out.

Villa Donna Elisa

Review Submitted: June 16, 2009 Date of Stay: March 2009
This was a fabulous vacation with the villa being the biggest highlight. The property could not have been more beautiful and conveniently located. Donna Elisa was lovely and very helpful and hospitable. The gardens were beautiful. The apartment was extremely comfortable and the furnishings were of the best quality. I would only say that the kitchen was a disappointment. We like to cook and it was not well equipped, poor pans, stove and dishwasher. However it did not in any way make our stay less than perfect.

May 2009 - Wonderful Accomodation

Review Submitted: June 3, 2009 Date of Stay: May 2009
This home is fabulous in every way. The property is incredible with lemon and orange trees taking up a large portion of the beautiful gardens. The house is large and well kept. It is located just steps away from the main squares in Sorrento and very close to the port so much of the Amalfi coast in just a short ferry ride away. The wrap around deck over looking the ocean and the well equiped kitchen allows for wonderful meals should you be inclined to spend a night in - or save your money for the abundance of shoe and purse shopping that exists outside the secure gates of this villa.

New Year

Review Submitted: January 7, 2009 Date of Stay: December 2008
We stayed in the appartment for New Year week and had a wonderful time in Sorrento and the surrounding area. The appartment is super and very large so the four of us did not get in each others way!!!
All the facilities you want are there and the garden is superb;the photographs accuratly reflect the quality of the proerty. There is a lovely outlook from all the rooms and it was warm enough to have lunch on the balcony one day overlooking the sea.
Elisa made us very welcome and we hope to return for another holiday at some time in the future.

Amazing apartment in wonderful setting

Review Submitted: October 24, 2008 Date of Stay: September 2008
We have just returned from a wonderful trip to Sorrento made all the more memorable by the beautiful apartment. We arrvied late in the evening to be welcomed fondly by Elisa, who showed us round the appartment that surpassed all our expectations. The photos whilst wonderful can still not do the apartment and its grounds total justice. The rooms are all clean, spacious and beautifully decorated in keeping with the villa. The location is perfect - a short stroll to the centre and the many restaurants but so quiet and tranquil. The garden is wonderful - a true oasis. We would recommend the apartment without any reservation - we hope to be back. Many thanks Elisa for your kind hospitality.

The Perfect Sorrento Villa

Barbara S. St. Petersburg, Florida, USA
Review Submitted: October 20, 2008 Date of Stay: September 2008
Villa Donna Elisa has everything you would want for your stay in Sorrento. The villa itself is spacious and well-appointed, with a magnificent view of the Bay of Naples and Vesuvius. The proximity to Piazza Tasso - Sorrento's center - makes walking a breeze. It is also very close to the train and bus stations. The gardens surrounding the villa create a wonderfully serene landscape. By far the highlight of Villa Donna Elise is Elisa herself!!! She is a kind and gracious hostess and we will remember her fondly.
