Welcome to The Parkside Cabin. You can enjoy being just a few steps from Zilker Park, under two miles from downtown!

This two bedroom, one bath apartment is wonderfully furnished with everything you could need whether you are coming in town for a long weekend, or a month or two.

There's air conditioning, wifi, a flat screen TV, fully furnished kitchen, one queen bed, two twin beds, a VERY comfy sofa-bed, and even parking for up to three cars (not that you need one!).

Come hang out in Zilker Park, and see what makes Austin so special!

Barton Springs Pool: Within Zilker Park's 358 acres, lies one of the crown jewels of Austin, Barton Springs Pool. Three acres in size, the pool is fed from under ground springs and is on average 68 degrees year round. Over the years, Barton Springs Pool has drawn people from all walks of life, from legislators who have concocted state laws there to free-spirited topless sunbathers who turned heads in the seventies. Even Robert Redford learned to swim at the pool when he was five years old while visiting his mother's relative in Austin. Today, Barton Springs still attracts a diverse crowd of people.

Zilker Park: The Zilker Holiday Tree Stands 155 feet tall and is composed of 39 streamers, each holding 81 multicolored, 25 watt bulbs, totaling 3,309 lights. The Zilker Tree Lighting Ceremony is held annually the first Sunday in December at 6pm.

The Annual Zilker Park Kite Festival is held the first Sunday in March each year.

Enjoy a ride on the Zilker Zephyr miniature train or paddling a canoe on Town Lake. Play on the large multi-age playscape, hike and bike trails and large full-service picnic areas, 6 of which are reservable. For the swimmer, Zilker Park offers Barton Springs Pool, a natural spring-fed pool with a year-round average temperature of 68 degrees.

The sports enthusiast will enjoy the sand volleyball courts, a nine-hole Disc Golf Course, 2 Multi-use Fields.

The park is home to the Zilker Botanical Gardens, which includes the Taniguchi Oriental Garden and the Austin Area Garden Center.

perfect for family weekend

The Parkside was the perfect location for our outdoorsy family to spend a long weekend. The property was well maintained, had everything we needed - even good whole bean coffee and a grinder! Four adults and a baby stayed there and other family members joined us comfortably for meals. We spent many happy hours at Barton Springs and Zilker, and enjoyed dinners at Threadgill's and from Austin Java (Austin Cafe? now I can't remember). Both the owner and VacationCake were friendly and concerned for our satisfaction. Highly recommend.

Park Cabin was a delightful stay for us. So easy to walk to many things. The beds were very comfortable and all needed dishes and silver were there - coffee, as well, although we had brought our own so didn't use it.

We want to block out the same dates next year (Mar 1 thru 7th)

Thanks for maintaining a good and interesting place.

Great location for ACL able to walk back and forth to the festival and still hear the music from the patio! Friendly owner lives upstairs, house was stocked plenty of towels, sheets, blankets, fans, etc.

A little slice of heaven

My husband and I and our two children stayed here for 10 days at the end of June and early July, and it was perfect. The location is ideal. In five minutes, you can be at Barton Springs, or walking on the Town Lake Trails. In five minutes if you are driving, you can be downtown, and can check out the best independent bookstore around (Book People), a great show at Antone's or get yourself a fine meal at Uchi. The apartment offers great privacy and a good kitchen, stocked with great coffee, as well as a spacious master bedroom and a great smaller bedroom for our children. The owner was friendly and helpful. We can't wait to go back!

Lovely cabin! Perfect location right across the street from Zilker Park. It is convenient to everything in downtown austin. This was our first trip to austin and we absolutely loved it. You cannot go wrong with renting this cute, easily accessible cabin!

We had a blast!

My family and I traveled to austin to celebrate my mom's 60th b-day, and we were lucky enough to be there during Sxsw. The cabin was perfectly situated within walking distance of downtown (between a mile and 1.5 miles, I think), but away from all the hub-bub. I really liked that we were able to order groceries in advance that were waiting for us at the cabin when we arrived!

Awesome Place to Stay!

Our family of 4 stayed at Parkside for a month. It was a fantastic location...walking distance to many great places. Our kids especially loved being right by Barton Springs and Zilker Park. Such a cute place and perfect for our family. Hope to stay here again!!

Enjoyable Thanksgiving week stay

The Parkside Cabin was very nice and comfortable. The location was quiet and very convenient for both recreation and enjoying austin. We were able to hit the running & hiking trails and go swimming at Barton Springs in Zilker Park. It is also located within a short walk to Chuys and Shady Grove for nights when you don't feel like driving.

great location in a great city!

this rental property was a great place to stay in austin! it is in a great location with easy access to just about anything you want to do in austin. it also has great access to some trails, lady bird lake and barton springs.

Also, Jay and Lauren were very helpful and nice to work with. i would definitely book with vacation cake again!
