This was the perfect place for us to stay for two weeks plus - a home away from home for certain. Beautiful and clean with all the needed amenities including laundry in the basement and a gas grill outside for cooking. Loved the location, too, which was close to so many things. The neighborhood was safe and quiet. Carolyn was so easy to work with and accomodating and even brought fans when it got very hot outside (unusual for Portland). This was our first time renting something like this, and we'd highly recommend this particular apartment. We loved it so much, we'd stay there again in a heartbeat.

I spent a week in this beautiful Tillamook Street apartment, partly to explore Portland and party to just rest and recharge. This was the very best experience I've had with a HomeAway/VRBO rental. Thank you Carolyn! From the moment I walked in the door, the apartment felt like home, something you just never quite get with a hotel room. It's a 12-15 minute walk to the nearest light rail station, which I used several times. If I wasn't riding the extensive and convenient transit system, I was riding a bicycle I'd rented downtown for the week. The apartment is on or near several bicycle thoroughfares. I did not bother with renting a car; it's just not necessary. The nearby business district has many good restaurants, and a very nice Safeway so you can make use of the well-equipped kitchen in the apartment. The bedding was very comfortable and everything in the apartment is spotlessly clean. Carolyn will make sure that you're happy and comfortable. This is where I'll be staying from now on when I visit Portland.

We stayed for a week and walked or rode bikes all over Northeast Portland and downtown. No Car! The apartment looks just like the photos in the listing - up to date and freshly painted. The apartment is spacious and comfortable for three, and the linens and utensils are all aparently new, and of good quality. The owner, Carolyn, is friendly and helpful and will make sure you have a good stay. We will be back.

My boyfriend, chiweenie, and I visited Portland for the first time to check out the Portland International Beerfest. Our stay at this apartment was wonderful! From the moment we walked in, we knew we booked the right place! From the hardwood floors and french doors, this older building was full of charm but also had modern updates and decor (the best of both worlds!). It was so clean and spacious and comfortable. Although the kitchen was fully equipped for cooking full meals, we didn't take advantage of this because we wanted to try all the different food carts and great restaurants Portland had to offer. We ate some of the most delicious meals we've ever had in Portland! The bed was very comfortable, almost too comfortable as we always tended to sleep in longer than we planned. We knew of laundry facilities in the basement, but didn't check it out because we didn't need to do any laundry (who wants to do laundry on their vacation?). But, it was nice to know it was there just in case! The weather was quite warm while we were there, however the apartment stayed cool and comfortable. There was a nice flatscreen tv with all the channels too! We stayed for 7 nights and we didn't want to leave! We were really getting used to living there. The neighbourhood, called Irvington, felt safe and was perfect for a quiet run in the morning and a nice walk in the evening. Like everywhere in Portland, this neighbourhood felt so welcoming and warm as we bumped into many friendly neighbours taking our chiweenie out for walks.

We will definitely be back! We call this apartment our Portland home and we hope to make this an annual getaway to attend the beerfest, which was such a blast! Carolyn and Ralph were so friendly and warm, not to mention they do such a great job of keeping this apartment in perfect condition. See you next year!

We've stayed in many VRBO rentals both in North America and Europe, and this apartment was one of the very best. The apartment is light, airy, spacious and was immaculately clean. The kitchen was very well equipped for cooking and had everything we needed to prepare our own meals. The neighbourhood is an excellent location, especially if you don't have a car and want to use public transportation or walk. It's a lovely, peaceful residential area, but is only a few blocks walk to some excellent neighbourhood restaurants, many local shops, a supermarket and drug store. If you like a slightly longer walk, you can walk over the river to the Pearl District or up to the Mississippi Arts District. We had no problem finding parking at any time and it was an easy drive to Mt Hood for skiing. The owner really went out of her way to be helpful and make our stay extra pleasant. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this apartment for either tourists or business visitors. We hope to stay again on our next visit to Portland.

Our stay for 8 days was wonderful. This apartment is well appointed and super clean. Owners even left flowers. The bed is very comfortable. Within walking distance to restaurants and shopping.

The apartment is very beautiful and comfortable. I spend around two months, and I felt quite at home in this room. The interior decorations are simple and lovely and useful! And these tableware are charming!
The air from outside is very fresh and good smell. And especially the owner is very kind and nice friendship!
The place, that is very convenient, so I can walk for shopping and eating, and ride Max to Down Town.
And it"s quiet area. A lot of green, flower, bird.... I loved it!

My wife and I spent 3 days here during our stay in Portland . The apartment was spotless when we arrived and was spacious, well appointed, and very pleasant. It is situated in a wonderful older neighborhood and very close to a number of good restaurant, shops, etc. The owner recommended several great spots for us to visit. We have stayed at numerous vacation rentals for years and would recommend this place to anyone. We are looking forward to an extended stay in the future.
