This spacious two-bedroom apartment is the top floor of a modernized Victorian-era carriage house, centrally located in San Francisco. It’s just a few blocks from Alamo Square Park, home of the famous row of “painted ladies” Victorian houses, Golden Gate Park, Haight Street, and USF. Just a few minutes from City Hall, UCSF, and the downtown shopping district. It’s in the North of Panhadle (Nopa) neighborhood with several delightful cafés, restaurants, and pubs within a few minutes walk. The house is set back from the street, accessed through a private gated entrance. It has a large sun deck out front with pretty views of the area. There is a private off-street parking space that comes with the rental, directly adjacent. There is also a 40-inch flat screen TV with cable/HBO, washer and dryer, and a full kitchen with refrigerator, stove, dishwasher, and coffee machine. Linens, towels, dishes and cooking utensils provided.

The House: Additional amenities include clothes iron and board, hair dryer, and alarm clock. Ice and water dispenser, coffee grinder, toaster oven, toaster, and natural gas oven and range top.

The Neighborhood: The neighborhood is known as 'Nopa' or north of the panhandle of Golden Gate Park. There is a notable collection of restaurants, cafes, and neighborhood grocery stores. There's Nopalito for Yucatan style Mexican food, Tsunami for real sushi and sake lovers, Ziryab for Jordanian Middle Eastern cuisine, Ragazza for Neopolitan style pizza and Italian dishes. Or Little Star Pizza just a few blocks away for some of the tastiest in the city. Acme Burger Haus is just up the street.

This was a delightful apt. so very comfortable and nicely furnished. Great location. Mark, the owner was so very attentive. I would certainly stay here again and I would recommend to couples, families or an individual. Loved it!

Estuvimos 4 noches en San Francisco con nuestros 3 hijos adolescentes. Mark, el dueño, nos recibió con mucha amabilidad. El departamento está ubicado en una zona muy tranquila de San Francisco, cerca del Alamo Square (hermoso!!), y con muy buenos medios de transporte (consejo: comprar el abono turístico para los transportes públicos para moverse por San Francisco y dejar el auto estacionado en el parking del departamento). Nos gustó mucho el departamento, tiene todo lo necesario, está muy bien equipado y decorado y es muy cosy: Estuvimos muy a gusto y lo tenemos en cuenta para un próximos viaje.

Loved it!!! This cozy 2 bedroom carriage house was in a great location. We were able to get to any part of the city. Parking was great, and the place was very clean. Kitchen had some stock of spices which made cooking easy and convenient. The rooms were spacious and beds were very comfortable and room for my family of 4 to spread out. Mark was very helpful answering all our questions. Some great restaurants close by, so we could go out or have our meals delivered. If I am in San Francisco again I would stay here and refer this cozy place to anyone.

I stayed in this rental with my husband our 2 daughters and a family friend. The house was a perfect location for us to easily experience all the city has to offer. It was very clean and we enjoyed having a kitchen to use during our stay. There is a cute natural grocery store along with many great places to eat near by. There is a great amount of history in the neighborhood and we would love to stay here every time we go to San Francisco!

This was our first experience using HomeAway.com, and it did not disappoint! I have already recommended HomeAway to several friends and family members. I also highly recommend Mark and Audi's SF apartment rental. Mark and Audi were very friendly and welcoming. This was a last-minute rental arrangement, and they were very accommodating; no hiccups at all. The apartment was immaculate and adorable. The neighborhood was eclectic. We walked all around and felt perfectly safe (of course, you always have to be cautious in any city). Lots of nightlife foot-traffic, so we never felt "alone." I recommend Blue J cafe for breakfast and Little Star Pizza for dinner. The corner grocery/liquor store was close-by too. Several coffee shops as well. Once we parked at the complex (very nice to have gated, off-street parking), we didn't use our vehicle the entire stay. We took the bus-line wherever we needed to go. We also used a taxi from Fisherman's Wharf back to the apartment ($22 with tip for 4 of us). If you're looking for an authentic SF neighborhood to stay in, I would definitely recommend this place. Perfect accommodations in a perfect location. Groceries and restaurants within easy walking distance. Public transportation easily accessible.

We couldn't believe how quite it was at night. Very comfortable.

The accommodatios is very nice, particularly the living dining room. They are spacious and nicely decorated. We were three people and would have appreciated to have a second bathroom or at least a toilet.The kitchen has all the necessary elements to cook, if necessary. The bedrooms were OK although mattress too soft. The main problem we had was the fact that the bedroom windows do not have proper curtains and the sun shining waked us up early in the morning.Proper black outs will highly improve the bedrooms. The location is extremely convenient with very good public transportation few minutes walking from the house. There are all sort of shops near by. The house has a parking lot which was very much appreciated. We did enjoy our stay and would recommend the house. The owner was nice and always ready to assist us.
