Located slope side in the new Village at Northstar™, just minutes away from Lake Tahoe and the historic town of Truckee. Your three bedroom Iron Horse Lodge vacation residence is only steps away from the Northstar California® gondola, quaint shops and boutiques, the skating rink which is surrounded by fire-pits as well as the famous (or infamous in some cases) cabana bars, galleries and a variety of dining experiences including The Chocolate Bar, Mikuni Sushi, and Rubicon Italian.

Check-in is on site and takes place in the lobby of Tahoe Mountain Resorts Lodging which is open normal business hours, seven days a week, year round. Our condominium includes the use of a full time concierge who is more than happy to help you plan and reserve your vacation activities while here and in advance, prior to your visit. We are here to assist you during your entire stay with any needs you have and may be reached 24 hours a day, unlike some private rental home owners.

Our staff takes pride in making sure that you and your family have a fantastic vacation experience and don't have to worry a bit about your home while you are here.

Our guests enjoy the complimentary use of an outdoor, heated swimming pool year round, five hot tubs, three fitness centers and an underground heated parking garage. We have the ability to create vacation packages as well including lift tickets and ski and snowboard rentals in the winter and golf, mountain biking, kayaking, skating, dining, etc...packages in the summer.

Activities and recreation abound in our area. In the winter Squaw Valley, Alpine Meadows and Mt. Rose Ski Tahoe are only a short drive from us. Heavenly Mountain Resort is approximately an hour from us. During the summer, golf, Lake Tahoe's beaches, hiking, biking, sightseeing and so much more is located nearby.

In the evenings a fifteen minute ride to Truckee with it's eclectic shops, relaxed nightlife and diverse dining establishments provide a perfect excursion. If it's excitement and entertainment that you are looking for then the Crystal Bay casinos on Lake Tahoe are only a shuttle or taxi ride away.

The Iron Horse Lodge is the gateway to the Village at Northstar. This three bedroom residence offers more living space than is generally available in most Lake Tahoe condominiums. It provides the perfect setting for family and friend's camaraderie and entertainment.

Great place to stay for a week in Lake Tahoe/Northstar. Centrally located in the village, car parking with elevator access, big big rooms with great facilities and ski in (and sort of ski out via a short walk back to the Gondola).Staff were really helpful too.

“Great top notch condo and resort loved it !!!”

We stayed here for a mountain bike race in July. We chose the Iron Horse Building because it was in the center of the village. We absolutely loved the location of the Iron Horse Building and the condo. The condo was very upscale with cuisinart everything , super comfy bed, nice bathroom, and great balcony. Very modern tvs living room and bedroom, and very comfy furnshings well stocked with coffee etc. The parking was great because you parked in a garage took the elevator right to the condo. Bellman was nicest man on earth and so was the staff that checked us in. The fitness center, steam rooms, hot tubs all immaculate and I am super picky about stuff like that. We enjoyed all the amenities there as well as the gondola and some good shopping. We ate at Rubicon Pizza and at the restaurant on top of the Gondola all was very good. I recommend venturing into Truckee for some fine dining and to Tahoe just to check it out very pretty lake.

“Summer vacation at Northstar is great”

This is the third time we stayed at Tahoe Moutain Resort. Great place for family vacation. Summer time has good value. Not very crowded. My kids enjoyed skating in the ring, swimming pool and the fitness center where they have pool table. Excellent facility where everyone can enjoy. I like the kitchen, very equipped. You only need to bring food. The unit has everything you need. Laundry in the house makes it convenient. At night, we enjoyed the fireplace at the ring and marshmellow. We went with my parents and kids (6 and 9). We all have a great time. The unit makes you feel like home.

We stayed in Iron Horse South. The staff was amazing from reservations through check out. The room was immiculate and fully stocked with everything we would need during our stay. The village supplied numerous activities for young and old alike. We will definitely be back for another stay.

We stayed at the Iron Horse Lodge. It was beautiful! Beautiful woodwork, granite and cookware. A TV and DVD player in each room. Large bathroom with soaking tub separate from a large glass shower. Shampoo, conditioner, lotion and a ceramic ionic hairdryer provided. The bed was very comfortable with excellent linens. A humidifier was provided and we used it! The air was dryer than what I am used to, so the humidifier was a life saver. Good sized balcony too. Only complaint would be that there isn't really a view form the room and you can really hear people if they are outside yelling. This would not deter me from staying here again though. "Fabulous Resort".

This is a nice place to stay. It looks great, new, modern and it's an easy walk to the gondola. We needed to be close to the slopes so we could trade off babysitting duty for our 10-month old. It worked! If you go and are planning to cook, make sure to bring your own salt and pepper as the property only provides salt and pepper packets. Otherwise the kitchen was quite well-equipped and a pleasure to cook in, as it was spacious and full of new appliances.

Great kitchen, bring ingredients that you need to save money. Everything else is pretty much there. Bring games, cards, dice and bring stuff for s'mores. "Great Base for Winter Sports."

The service of all the staff we dealt with was great. Accomodations were very clean, modern and had everything we needed. So many on-site activites that we didn't get a chance to do it all in the week we spent there. "To good to be true!!".

Loved this place. The accomodations were large and extremely comfortable, well stocked. Staying during the week made it a great value. Convenience to slopes and restaurants and after-slopes fun like skating couldn't be beat. "Great Stay"!
