Family with two children (4 months/2 years) and mothers in law. Paternity leave for 6 weeks.

Villa and location:
Perfect location for families with children. Spacious, a large garden, located by a quiet beach with safe bathing conditions.
Spacious house with all kinds of facilities. Clean, tidy and well kept by made and gardener. Very kind and helpful made who we became very fond of. Information could be updated with maps and general information over the area . The rental bureau also gave us useful information.

Located on Merville beach, a beach south of Pereybere, but walking distance to Pereybere where you can get most stuff to your housekeeping. For big shopping go to Super U in Grand Baie where you get everything.

Activities:
Water, beach, walking, boat and trips, delicious food and drink, spa, shopping, starting point for short and long trips on/around the island (Port Louis, Flat Island and Gabrielle Island, Botanical Garden, Goodlands...). For shorter trips around the island by boat, friendly Patrice (located on Pereybere beach) is a good choice. Beautiful sunsets at the beach is a perfect end of the day for the whole family.

Small children:
Safe place for children. Good standard. Friendly population. Heat during the middle of the day makes it perfect to have a siesta and relax outside at the verandah.
Activities: We recommend short trips by boat for snorkeling and the botanical garden in Pamplemousse with deers and giant turtles.

Food:
Use the opportunity to buy daily fresh seafood (lovely lobster!) delivered on your door. Barbeque a delicious lunch/dinner. Gather small seashells in the sand at the beach for an appetizer - very tasty! Otherwise there are many good restaurants both in Pereybere and Grand Baie. One favorite for lunch - with lovely staff (who lulled the minor into sleep so we could eat... :-) - was Cafe Pereybere (the only beach restaurant there). For more informal food try kebab at the beach. Annick, the maid, also makes delicious food.

The house/beach/Pereybere and Mauritius were the perfect place to relax and enjoy for the whole family.

Vill Plaisir was perfect for us, and everything we expected and more. Its location on one of the most sheltered and beautiful beaches on the island, together with its proximity to Grand Baie made it the perfect place for us. The villa itself was extremely well equipped, and the 4 bedrooms suited our needs down to the ground.

The reef which was just in front of the house was teeming with life, and made for great snorkeling and swimming. From weber braais on the beach, to snorkel trips from the point, to sundowners on the verandah while watching the sun-set makes this the perfect holiday villa for us.

We will look no further then villa Plaisir for our next holiday.

We simply loved your house and Annick, the location and Mauritius! We had a wonderful stay at Merville beach and surroundings, and also got to do some travelling around the beautiful island with lovely people. A trip to remember! We realy hope to come back sometime. Thank you!
