SUNSET, GREAT BEACH and LOVELY EXPERIENCE
Firstly apologies for not having come back to you sooner.
Please find below a review which you can post on the various websites and some suggestions.
We recently stayed at Noulacaze (July 2013) for 3 weeks. Myself, wife and our baby daughter, parents in law and my wife’s sister.
First impressions as they say last, we arrived late in the evening after having taken the taxi that had been arranged by Anne (the owner). We were greeted to a candle lit patio, table laid, and dinner ready. The property comes with a cleaner (Soprani) and a cook (Josane). The house is quiet which we wanted, away from the main road but within easy driving distance (you cannot walk to the shops) of the Grand Baie where you can do all your shopping. We also found a great french deli that does frsh bread and pastries near the Total garage and the nearest supermarket ‘winners’ also has a bakery attached open from early.
Waking up in the morning we were greeted by the view of the sea, Noulacaze is set back from the sea by about 50 meters, the beach is private, patrolled at night and sandy, being owned by Anne’s sister and mother’s properties so beautifully safe for our little one. She loved playing in the sand and the sea. The bay is calm and great for swimming, snorkeling and we bought a Stand up Paddle to learn on. The garden itself is peaceful and a great place for just kicking back.
We spent most of our time at the property on the patio, comfortable chairs, a table for eating at. The property has 3 bedrooms, 2 showers (one on suite), a lounge with French cable (I was able to at least watch the Tour de France!), good Wifi connectivity for the internet and a kitchen.
We probably had about 50 / 50 meals at the property cooked by Josane and out at restaurants or cooked ourselves. Hi-light was the locally caught lobster and langoustine which we barbequed on the available Weber BBQ.
It was our first time to Mauritius and we went in search of other areas for great beaches and to be honest what we learned was that staying put at the house was the best, great sunsets, great beach and a lovely experience.
We only found the out door shower 2 days before we left – it would be good to point this out, or better still have a tap that you can wash your feet off after coming off the beach somewhere in the front of the property, we used a washing up bowl.
Our opinion was that Winners was better than Super U and cheaper for food
It would be good to know ab
