This 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom apartment is one of six flats in a lovely historic home that has been faithfully restored to its original grandeur with a mix of the historic and the modern accents. You’ll love the wonderful views from your private balcony overlooking Palmer Park, a cozy living room with an inviting day bed, a flat-screen Cable TV, and WiFi. The master bedroom has a Queen-sized bed and a full closet while the second bedroom features a Full-sized bed and a stunning bay window. The heart of the home is a sleek kitchen with a large dining and lounging area. There is plenty of room here for family and friends to gather and pass an evening, host a dinner party, or settle in for a quiet dinner.

Prior to becoming a section of New Orleans, this area was a summer resort community where the well-to-do vacationed and enjoyed the shady woodlands, meadows and breezes from the nearby Mississippi river. Palmer Park hosts many community and cultural events. The last Saturday of every month the park comes to life during the Arts Market with tents of arts and crafts vendors, refreshments and live music. The St. Charles Streetcar - the oldest streetcar line in the world - runs directly past your accommodations, rolling on to destinations such as The French Quarter, Canal Street, The Garden District and Lafayette Cemetery. You’re also within easy walking distance of historic Oak Street and it's eclectic shops, boutiques, and various restaurants of all sorts, and local groceries/pharmacies - everything you need to enjoy your time in hospitable New Orleans.

2 couples stayed here. It was a great neighborhood, felt very safe. The apartment was very cozy and welcoming. Back room was a bit cold and you could hear the upstairs neighbors every move in the front bedroom. Great atmosphere around the apartment, easy to get to the French Quarter, only about a 10 min drive!! Our FAVORITE restaurant was Lebanon's Cafe about 7 blocks down… AMAZING AMAZING fresh food! We were all down for a huge author convention and it was a perfect retreat after a long day of walking! Thank you!

The location of this condo was great. One small issue is that it was advertised to be right off the streetcar, but the streetcar is not operating on Carralton, so you either need to ride a bus or walk a mile to St. Charles. There is also no air conditioning so the master bedroom was almost unbearable with the heat and humidity. Besides those two minor issues, this place was fantastic!
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Pet-friendly, Adventure Seekers, Girls Getaway, Tourists without a Car, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers

Unfortunately, your timing for the streetcar wasn't the best! It was under construction when you were visiting but does still operate under normal circumstances. Cheers!

The apartment was perfect! The location was nice because its away from all the craziness of Bourbon street, but also close enough if you want to have a good time. Love that there are plenty of restaurants near by. Also it was nice not to have to pay for parking on a daily rate. The apartment was beautiful and very clean. I had the honor of meeting the owners who were very sweet. Thank you so much for allowing us to also have our dog. That really meant a lot. I would most certainly recommend this property to anyone.
