Thumbs up! Would recommend.
Halfway between FLL and MIA - walkability of location is a 10 (blocks to intracoastal, residence right on beach).
We have stayed at many places up and down Collins Ave and this one is very centrally located [across street in both directions there are grocery, bars, restaurants, coffee shops; Aventura and Bal Harbour Mall shopping (5 min.), bus to South Beach 20 minutes - taxi back @ $25-30 late night].The parking space is included and owner has nice Tommy Bahama beach chairs and an umbrella for you to use - a big plus. Technically, you do not even need a rental car when staying in Sunny Isles.
Everything you need is there - washer and dryer, hair dryer, sampling of dishes and pans, glasses, corkscrew, coffee maker, refrigerator with Ice Maker, towels. TV in living room and bedroom, access to balcony from both rooms.
Pros - Good-sized balcony; overlooks small park (no neighboring condo blocking
your view). Can see the beach from the living room chair; nice view of city from bed. Lifeguard right next door (they have a "parade" in and out from the beach each day). Not far from elevator and your didn't have to wait long for an elevator. Beach keeps sun all day even in winter months (may have to shift location once or twice during day). Staff friendly and helpful.
Cons - many families with children on a heavy vacation week (pool tended to be crowded but nice and warm). Hotel does not take a credit card for incidentals (i.e., room service, etc.). A folding shopping cart would be helpful.
Favorites - Milam's IGA Grocery, Publix, Denny's, Tony Roma's, McDonalds, Starbuck, Epicure, The Newport Tiki Bar, Golden Strand Azzuro calamari! The View's (resort restaurant) chicken wings (WNY/Buffalo native approved) - they also have $10 buffet on Thurs, Fri and Sat.
Payment process easy. Owner responsive.
