The house and property is beautiful. The house was neat and clean and everything you would need was available. There was a minor problem with the pool heater and John sent someone immediately to fix it. The river was crystal clear and you could see the fish. The pool and hot tub were perfect and the game room was fun. The train is close and the first time you hear it ... it will surprise you, but after the initial shock it's enjoyable. The area was quiet and peaceful. Both John and Michelle were so helpful and responsive! I would recommend staying here without a doubt!!!

My wife and I were looking for a romantic anniversary get-a-way. I think we found the perfect spot. Over the top luxury with spectacular views and tranquility. While at the property the owner was very quick to respond to any questions. The infinity pool was fabulous, spent most of my time in the pool, reading a book, and watching the blue herons and two bald eagles fish the river. The bluff and river are breathtaking and again, so, so peaceful. The property was very clean and very well maintained. The master bed was very comfortable and the master bath was perfect with separate sinks and large walk in shower. On the last day we walked (right out of the driveway) a roughly 2 mile nature trail suggested by John the owner, we loved it. Once we arrived we never left the property. We also loved listening to our favorite Sirius satellite stations with the pool speakers. We will be back.

A Perfect Vacation Spot

Just returned from 6-night stay at this magnificent property. In our party were 4 adults, 2 kids and 1 dog and the house was a great size for us. The house itself is beautiful - the pictures really don't do it justice. It has an open concept layout, perfect for hanging out together as a family. The master bedroom is huge, the other rooms were a good size and most importantly all of the beds were extremely comfortable. The games room in the garage also proved to be a highlight for everyone, especially the kids.
The outdoor pool and hot tub were incredible. We were there in the month of December and we were outside swimming everyday. The surrounding scenery made it the perfect place to be. The White River is gorgeous (which you can view from the poolside) and we caught a number of trout off the dock in the backyard. It's such quiet and peaceful location yet it’s only 20 minutes from town if anything is needed.
Lastly, I can't say enough about the owners. They were extremely friendly and provided us with excellent information on a number of recreation options to meet the needs of everyone in our family. We would highly recommend this property to couples or families looking for that perfect getaway spot.

Beautiful - Wonderful - Weekend Get Away!

We are always looking for a luxury rental property that is dog friendly as we hate to leave part of our family behind......and we completely hit the jackpot with this one!!! This home has the most incredible views from the back side. Your entire back door is glass and opens up to this incredible heated pool that turns different colors at night. You also have a complete gym located in the detached garage which allows for a great workout and then a hot tub to relax in. There are speakers that go throughout the house as well as down to the dock! We had a blast watching football while being surrounded by such an amazing view! The nearest grocery store is about 15 mins away - so be sure to stock up while you're coming in as you will not want to leave the property once you get there. We took the most amazing photos on our hiking adventures and just so thankful that we were able to visit this home. The owner was so very generous when we met him as well and eager to accomodate any need that we may have had!!

WOW... LOOK NO FURTHER!

From beginning to end, our vacation to Mountain Home was an amazing experience. My husband and I were looking for a weekend away to celebrate our anniversary. The owners were extremely helpful and accomodating from my first phone call to inquire about the property, to several more phone calls during our stay regarding area information and such, to finally our goodbyes.
The minute you step into this house, you immediately know that you have made the best decision for your retreat. Where to begin? The interior is beautifully decorated with an open floor plan, gorgeous kitchen with stainless steel appliances, granite island with bar stools, flat screen TV, hardwoods, master bath is top-notch and the view of the pool and river are breath-taking. Many extras in the house include coffee, laundry amenities, toiletries galore, fresh linens and just about everything one needs to whip up a meal in the kitchen.
As far as the exterior, we couldn't decide which was our favorite play area. One could start with the heated pool, hot tub and the White River and dock just fifty steps away. Then there is a grill to cook your daily catch, a fenced in yard for the pooch and a second garage filled with an abundance of excercise equipment and a pool table. I couldn't ignore mentioning the beautiful landscaping and scenery of the bluff beyond the river. If one even "wants" to leave the property, we enjoyed a few nice walks and my husband ventured out to area creeks for some additional fishing.
With all this said, I still know that I have left out other goodies about this property:) Every where we turned was another pleasant surprise. Simply stated, you will not be disappointed! Enjoy!
