A vacation home in the forest, by a creek, next to two trailheads, yet close to town for shopping and dining the Bear Creek Trailhead House is just right for your Montana holiday. The house is surrounded by State forest property and is one mile from the National forest boundary up the Bear Creek Trail. Two blue ribbon trout fishing rivers, the Yellowstone and the Gallatin, are less than 20 miles to the east and the west. In winter, there is skiing right out the front door for cross country or alpine touring with skins and both Bridger Bowl and Big Sky are an easy drive away. Both the north entrance and the west entrance to Yellowstone Park are about the same distance from the house, and guests often drive the loop through the Park by driving up the Gallatin River to West Yellowstone and back home by way of Gardner and down along the Yellowstone River. Horseback Riding is available within a few miles.
Fly Fishing: The home has features especially designed for fly fishers such as racks for drying waders, ourdoor hydrant for washing gear, clothes dryer, fly tying bench, equipment for watching videos, etc.. Also fly fishing art works are displayed throughout the house. Bozeman is the home of Simms and has a number of fly shops which are linked on the house's website.
Skiing: The home is located in an ares which is a popular ski touring venue and is a short drive from two major alpine ski resorts and a major cross country touring center. These will be the site of the NCAA Skiing Championships in 2012.
Yellowstone Park: The house is within easy driving distance of Yellowstone Park.
