Idyllic Retreat
Before addressing the home, I must comment on the ease of booking and helpful suggestions the owners made regarding activities to do during our stay. Pauline answered all of my emails promptly and was professional in all of our interactions. Not only did she answer all of my questions, she offered helpful suggestions for activities and dining to ensure that we enjoyed our stay.
With regards to the house, its décor, layout and location are ideal. First, the house is beautifully decorated and perfectly balances comfort with an inviting aesthetic. The bed and screened in area alone are enough to make you feel at home, while also feeling as if you’re spending time at a luxurious resort. The layout of the house is ideal and offers an open kitchen, dining, and living area for times when our entire family gathered together while also providing bedrooms with their own television and bathroom to offer a relaxing space if we wanted some down time. Finally, the location of the house allows you to walk to the beach, biking/walking trails, and restaurants. Despite its close proximity to these amenities, the landscaping provides a great deal of privacy and makes you feel as if you’re in a secluded part of the island. This combination of peacefulness and easy access to so many activities is a unique asset that other rentals on the island just can’t match.
My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our time there and cannot wait to return to the home and Kiawah Island in the future.

A wonderful, comfortable, convenient place to stay on Kiawah
This home is everything is appears to be - bright, clean, comfortable and very charming. Not only is the home fully-equipped with all the amenities (including dish detergent, soap, and just about every kitchen utensil), but it's decor is a lovely Asian-Moroccan flavor. The owners were very good at communicating with us through the preparation for our stay, and provided great detail about every aspect of the home.
Our family loved staying here and we would consider booking here again!

Extremely well-appointed
Finally, an upscale vacation rental home that allows us to bring our Cairn terrier! Since our little rescue dog came into our life, it's been a struggle to find the caliber of vacation rental home that we want, because the pet-friendly options are limited. With this home, you would never think it would be in the pet-friendly category. Beautiful decor, upscale finishes, and very well-maintained and clean. The owners have thought of everything, and it is all there, in place and neatly labelled. Nice touches: All the walk-in closets have built-in drawers and are stocked with nice hangers. All the bathrooms have hairdryers. The kitchen had not only a Cuisinart coffeemaker, but also a Keurig. The refrigerator had a welcoming bottle of wine! The shower in the master bath is amazing - great water pressure from the rainfall shower head. The owners were responsive to a couple minor issues (gate passes, garage door code) and prompt in refunding the deposit. There is still construction going on in the neighborhood, so you wend your way through that, but you don't mind it once you reach the house. It's a half-mile to the beach - - so sometimes we walked, and sometimes we'd drive. We enjoyed the proximity to The Sanctuary and recommend lunch at their pool (The Loggerhead Cafe). Great for a group - we were a total of 8 and never felt crowded. Thank you, Pauline and Bruce, for making your lovely home open to pet lovers!

Pauline and Bruce's Cypress Point house is as described and a great place to spend 4 weeks on Kiawah.
The house is beautifully furnished and the kitchen is a dream.
We walked the beach (1/2 mile away) or the River course (right in their backyard) every morning with our dogs and frequently visited the Sanctuary (1/2 mile away) for a drink in the evening.
We found the location very convenient and close enough to the Feshfields Market to make shopping and eating out very accessible.
We'd recommend this house highly to any couple or group of 6 - 8 people who want to vist beautiful Kiiawah.
Our only complaint is we wish there were more street lights at night to help when we walked our dogs.
I'm sure this will be rectified somewhat once the entire community is built out.
That being said, it's a great home and hopefully we'll visit again.

Owner's Response: Thanks for your kind review. To address the street lighting. The lighting plan is governed by the Town of Kiawah Island, not the builder, and Kiawah wants to maintain an environmentally friendly light level so as to allow the nocturnal animals to do what they do at night. We provide flashlights for nite walks so that you can enhance your vision. It is not unusual to see deer,possums, and even bobcats on their nightly errands

A rental home unlike any other!
We loved our Thanksgiving stay at this fabulous home in Cypress Point. We have rented for years in Kiawah all over the island and everyone found this property to be exceptional in terms of the decor, bedding, gorgeous bathrooms, and well-stocked kitchen. It truly feels like a home and not a rental property. And the fact that they accept dogs makes this distinction even more extraordinary.
The owners were fabulous to work with and made the whole process very easy. They provide great information beforehand and have a detailed booklet at the home to answer any questions that might come up during your stay.
The Cypress Point location is an easy one for access to the beach, bike paths, golf, and off-island adventures. You will love your time on Kiawah in this beautiful property!

What an awesome vacation cottage!!!!!!

We could not have asked for a nicer cottage to stay in while vacationing at Kiawah. You have truly thought of everything and have left no stone unturned. The house was immaculate and very comfortable. We made good use of the instruction manual for the TV in the great room...that saved a lot of frustration.
The screen porch off the courtyard was enjoyed by all in the afternoon and evenings. What a comfy addition to this beautiful cottage.
The weather was gorgeous during our stay and the walk to the beach was nice. The neighborhood was very quiet and peaceful.
I hope to book a little earlier next year so that we can enjoy the pool some too...it was just a bit too cool for us this late in the season.

A beautiful house conveniently located in the heart of Kiawah Island
This beautiful home has everything you could want on vacation! The interior is beautiful and the kitchen has everything you could want to make meals at home. My family and I have been coming to Kiawah for 20+ years and have stayed in many condos and homes throughout the island. This property by far is our favorite due to the sheer comfort of the home, the multiple sleeping rooms, location on Kiawah and pet-friendly approach.
The owners are lovely to deal with and make themselves available for any questions.
My family and I loved it so much that we already booked our week for next year! Can't wait to get back!

Great home for a family vacation
Thoroughly enjoyed our vacation with 4 generations plus the family dog. The house is spacious and beautifully decorated. We took full advantage of the well equiped kitchen. It was wonderfull having bathrooms in all bedrooms. Wehad one rain day and it was great to have such a nice home to spend the day in. The owners were great to deal with and the deposit was returned quickly. We would highly recommend this home.

Close to Beach!
Our family of five adults, 3 children (4 yrs & younger) and our basset hound stayed at this residence for a week and throughly enjoyed ourselves. The house is very well maintained and a very short bike ride (under 4 min.) to the beach. This is a new home with every luxury you would find in a year around home. The neighborhood very quiet and close to the park and grocery store. Would reccommend this home to stay in. We will be back!

Perfect house for our family of ten
The property was new, clean and very tastefully decorated, exactly as descibed. Our family consists of three adult couples and four children, ages ranging from 3 to 16. Each couple enjoyed a separate bedroom with its own private bath. The four children were delighted with the Hobbit room, which also has its own bath bath. Each of our couples likes to cook so we took advantage of the gas grill and the wonderful kitchen facilities to prepare some delicious meals. This house fit the needs of our ten person group extremely well, and everyone very much enjoyed our stay.
