Vail House Rental Photos and Description
4 bedrooms, 4.5 bathrooms, queen beds in every room, but can sleep up to 10

Beautiful Mountain Home in Vail Colorado, minutes from the free shuttle and within walking distance to Lionshead. The house is nestled on the side of the mountain with large views from every window of the spectacular Gore Range. There are four spacious bedrooms each with their own bathroom and includes two master suites at either end of the house. The house also includes a half bathroom for guests upstairs. Perfect for one or two families on vacation to enjoy all the activities close by. A gas fire place with two large decks allows ample time to study the beautiful peaks of the Gore Range while your food cooks on the barbecue or in the fully stocked kitchen. Just like Sir George Gore, an Irish baronet, who visited the area in the 1850’s on a hunting expedition, in which the surrounding mountains were named after. But we promise you will be much more comfortable.

Summer: Summer is becoming as popular as Winter. Mountain or road biking, hiking, horseback riding, golf, tennis, rafting, kayaking, fishing and hunting, as well as many festivals and cultural activities are available and easy to get to. Fly fishing in Gore Creek is less than a 5 minute walk from the house.

If you care to hike, in summer, the high aspen meadows can be filled with the blooms of red columbine, Aquilegia elegantula lambstongue, Senecio integerrimuslovageoshaLigusticum porteri common harebell; and wild rose. Watch the aspens change in the fall to a patchwork of colors you’ve never seen before.

Winter: In winter fresh white peaks touch the dark blue-purplish sky as you and your family ski all day on Vail Mountain considered one of the best winter resorts in the world. From the house you take the short 5 minute walk to the bottom of the hill where the free bus is, you can take that to the ski lifts or even the grocery store if you don't have a car. The ski lifts are in the center of the town so the non-skiiers will also have a great time walking around Lionshead village with the spectacular shopping and first class dining. Vail Village is a short walk, or bus ride if it's too cold outside, where the little town is set up like a Swiss Ski Village. The many things to do here include winter wonderland festivals, tree lighting, snowball fights. A favorite bar to grab a beer and hang out is the 'George' which is right before the covered bridge. The kid friendly restaurants allow something for everyone and the famous steakhouse 'Russell's' is always a favorite.

Felt Like Home

This was our first visit to Vail. We loved the house and enjoyed days off from skiing relaxing and watching the snow from the large living/dining room. The house has so much character, from the design to the décor. The slightly steep driveway concerned us until we came home and saw that it was heated, and snow was not an issue. The heated floors and game room fireplace kept us toasty warm. We felt like we were home. We hope to come back next year.

We love the house, it is cozy, nice and big , the kitchen is a great place to be together. The family room is nice and a really good place to be at ….We were a party of 9 people, and we fit perfectly, all four rooms and bathrooms are very comfortable and ample . Debbie the owner is very flexible with everything and very kind. The house is located in a convenience place, groceries, food market, etc are near by. We definitely want to come back next time we visit Vail.

My family and I enjoyed celebrating thanksgiving at the Lodge. The house was plenty big and plenty warm. We were comfortable and had easy access to two grocery stores, starbuck's, fast food, the freeway, etc. The location was perfect for access to Beaver Creek Village and Ski Resort, as well as many others we did not have time to visit. The heated garage was nice, though our huge rented SUV would not fit. The kitchen was well stocked with equipment, including a waffle iron that I fell in love with. We had to purchase our own turkey baster, and we could have used a few more mixing bowls, another large pot and a food processor/hand mixer for making a huge thanksgiving feast. A coffee grinder would have been useful, though the grocery store is a closeby alternative. There is a lovely couch and two recliners in the main living area, which was a little tight for the 5 of us. Another couch would fit nicely and I'm sure would be well used. We felt the listing was accurate, the house was clean, the steam sauna was a nice feature, and I would recommend this house to any would-be renters looking to relax in Vail.
