Good location and large appartment. Exactly as pictures.
Everything was fine, we had some flowers the day we arrived and Michael's mother (?) welcomed us late in the Friday evening with some advices on restaurants and places to go. I would only suggest to improve cleaning eventhough i would not say it is dirty at all. Some usefull appliances like a vacuum cleaner or a washing machine are missing. We needed an iron, she provided it. Our late departure at 4 PM was not a problem and she can hold the bags if needed.

This apartment was absolutely perfect for our family. Our group included 3 adults and 3 kids and we could not have been happier. The location is ideal; a short walk to theaters, the subway, countless fantastic restaurants and Time Square. We walked to the Empire State Building (with 2 kids) and even up to Central Park (a long walk, but nice). The apartment was very clean and even nicer than it looked in the photos. The building is secure and we felt very safe. The owners are extremely nice and because they live in the building they are easy to reach and responsive to any issues/questions that arise. We had some trouble using the TV one night, and Michael came right down and fixed it for us. They let us store our luggage in the building after we checked out (which gave us an extra afternoon in the city). And to top it off, we left an ipod touch behind and they found it several days later. They texted me to let me know they had it and sent it to us in Chicago. I would recommend this apartment to anyone visiting NYC and I fully intend to stay here again on my next visit.

This apartment was a great find. The location was perfect and roomy enough for my family of five for 10 days. The number of excellent restaurants within a one block radius was incredible. The owners were very kind and kept our luggage stored both on our arrival and departure to accommodate our odd flight times. The apartment was safe and secure and absolutely immaculate. Our only (small) negative would be that the bathroom was looking a bit tired. We would definitely stay here again!

I recently rented this unit for a girls weekend in Manahattan. It was in a perfect location to walk to all the attractions and in walking distance to many bars/restaurants. I read some of the reviews saying that the apartment was very cold but I found just the opposite. We had to turn the heat down when we arrived which was pleasant since it was cold outside. There are controls for the heat in each room. Plenty of towels and very clean. I would recommend this unit to anyone looking to visit NYC.

You have to stay here! Don't bother looking anywhere else. This wonderful apartment affords you the luxury of feeling like a Manhattan-ite and getting to see everything the city has to offer. It's so beautifully located at 44th and 9th Avenue that you have bars, restaurants, subways, Times Square, other sights and vibe - all only a stone's throw away. The apartment itself is more than spacious, something that is a rarity in the Big Apple. Big rooms, big space, big bathroom, great kitchen, TV and perfect access to wi-fi if that's a deal-breaker. But the best part is that the owners are the most fantastic people you could hope to meet. I stayed three weeks and leaving was traumatic. The photos are a great indication of this sublime property but it's actually better when you show up in person. And the added bonus is that one of the owners is an accompolished artist. Michael and Michal... you guys are awsesome and hold the keys to my home away from home.

I highly recommend this apartment for a family of 4-5 people, it is located near Ninth Avenue and all the great restaurants and attractions there. It is close enough to easily walk to Times square without being in it, which is better, as the restaurants are better are less pricey on Ninth Avenue.
The apartment itself was, for Manhattan, spacious and comfortable, also a little quirky, though it is not new and up a few stairs. We felt very safe and secure during our stay. The owner was very responsive to our emails and arriving was hassle free.

I spent hours research what I was hoping to be the perfect apartment for our holiday and once I found this one, I stopped searching and we were not disappointed. We are a family of 4 and stayed for a week over New Years Eve.

All of my dealings with Michal in the lead up were prompt and professional and that continued upon arrival, lovely people who made the stay very easy.

The photo's don't lie, it is a very roomy apartment with the kitchen lounge area huge, with both bedrooms of good size. It was clean, extremely comfortable and warm. There were additional heaters available if you needed them but they were never required, even though it was below zero (Celsius) outside. The apartment is very secure and had no issues with a single flight of stairs.

This was our second time to New York and found the location to be perfect for our plans. The Port Authority terminal was one block away and Times Square station only 2 blocks. We bought a weekly Metro pass and found the subway very easy to use and convenient.

There is a wash and fold laundrette, 2 doors down from apartment. Drop them off in the morning, pickup in the arvo, very cheap rates.

There is a huge variety of restaurants in the immediate area along 9th street and around, as well as convenience stores. Supermarket is a block away if you need supplies. However with the exception of breakfast we would mainly eat out or get take away, with great options. Most are very reasonable and never had a bad meal.

The whole family loved the area and apartment. Perfect for families or couples wanting to share.

If we ever get back to New York, we would want to see here every time.

This was our first HomeAway rental experience and we were blown away. First, the location - you could not ask for anything more. Want to see the hustle and bustle of Times Square? It's blocks away. Want to hang out in the less touristed parts of the city? Walk out the door of the apartment, and in seconds you're in parts of the city that many tourists who don't go past 8th Ave never see. Literally hundreds of places to eat within steps of the door, and at all different price points from high-end gourmet to corner pizza joint.

As far as the apartment itself - it's not a New York apartment; it's a New York on TV apartment. It's far more spacious than a hotel room. Clean, well-maintained, comfortable - we were blown away.

Only one thing I'll mention is that there are some stairs to walk up to get to the apartment. If your party has anyone with mobility issues, this could present a problem. It's not a negative, just something to be aware of.

Anyway, I highly recommend this apartment to anyone looking to accommodate a larger party in NYC.
