We'll have to come back earlier in the season when there's more snow (for cross country skiing)! P.S. Cute beagles!

Wonderful and Relaxing Stay

My husband and I and our 2 kids and our small dog all enjoyed staying at the Artist's Studio Getaway for a great spring Easter skiing weekend.
The studio has all the fixings for a relaxing family stay. We loved the quickly made Keurig coffee maker that was provided and we had to fight our son to get some of the delicious cake left by Wendy!
Our dog enjoyed spending time with us when we were not skiing and we were so glad to have a place to be a family and play games, enjoy the warmth of the wood stove and share some meals at the table. My kids slept comfortably on the futon and couch and the queen bed was so comfy after great days of skiing. My son also enjoyed the basketball hoop outside and we also liked that we were able to park our car in the garage. Everything was neat, clean and well decorated.
Thank you for making our stay so enjoyable and welcome. We enjoyed meeting Wendy and Gary and felt very comfortable staying at their place. We look forward to a return visit next season!

Amazing cozy retreat

This was my second visit to the Artist's studio. Along with fresh baked muffins waiting for me, the wood stove was loaded with wood and only required a match to start the vacation nice and toasty. The studio is well equipped with coffee, condiments and anything needed to cook a meal. In addiition, there are games, DVD's, warm blankets and the most perfect view of Sunday River. The hosts are gracious and the check in and out is informal and very easy. Being able to bring my dog was an extra bonus and the area surrounding the house is beautiful!!!! I would highly recommend this rental and I will be sure to go again.

Rustic Elegance, Accessible Owners

What a spot!!! My dearest friend and I spent a lovely, peaceful and inspired week in the Artist's Studio Getaway. The skiing was fabulous, save one very rainy day. This afforded us time to relax and get cosy and very comfy in the Studio. With owner artwork and a tremendous flair for capturing woodsy elegance enhanced by a bit of whimsy, the Studio is also well appointed for home-away-from-home needs.
Whatever you do, don't stay in a hotel when you go to Sunday River. Among other things, the owners are accessible, friendly and extremely helpful when making your reservation. When we arrived, not only was the loft's wood stove burning (with ample supplies of wood and kindling for the week), Wendy had also left us the most yummy Cinnamon Swirl Bundt cake. Extra measure!! This very same kind of thoughtfulness was evidenced all week.
Another big plus is being able to use the garage; very helpful before and after skiing and on rainy days.

We spent 5 nights over Feb. vacation at the Artist's Studio. I had never used Home Away before, so I was crossing my fingers that everything would be as represented. It ended up being far better than I had imagined. Wendy and Gary have a wonderful property. It was very clean, extra comfy, and stocked with many little extras that made staying there even more comfortable. Since we were visiting in the winter, it was great being able to park in a garage and not worry about cleaning snow off the car.
We took them up on their pet policy and brought our Beagle who loved sleeping near the toasty wood burning stove. They set us up with their dog walker Donna, who was very good to our pup. We loved watching the Sunday River fireworks from the comfort of the sofas, and enjoyed listening to the in ceiling sound system. If only we had had the 1812 Overture on the iPod!
We will definitely be returning. There are just too many positives to list. This will be our "go to" spot when skiing Sunday River.
