This property is set up perfectly to give you a fun place to spend your downtime between activities, to reconnect with friends and family, to relax and unwind, and make a plan for the evening or the next day. I am picky about amenities when I travel, so I have made very attempt to furnish this property to the highest of standards. It is my goal to make your stay in Jim Thorpe both fun and relaxing, so that you will come back again and again.
A building contractor for most of my adult life, I now find myself semi-retired and able to enjoy some travel and freedom. My vacation rental business fits perfectly into my lifestyle, because it puts me in contact with others who like to explore new places and have the resources of time and money to follow through.. I also know from my travels what it is like to get to a destination and to have your pre-arranged accommodations wind up being a catastrophe... so my vacation rentals, while all being very different in personality and amenities, all provide a great value and are exactly as advertised...
I bought this house in need of a total restoration. My original plan was to resell the property but upon completion I liked it so much that I kept it as a rental property instead. For the first few years I had annual tenants, but a recent winter in Puerto Rico, and a new Cuban friend, introduced me to the vacation rental business. Upon my return to the states, I converted the house into a vacation rental, and decided to make it a premier property in town...
While the typical vacation rental is furnished with all the leftovers and hand-me-downs of someone else's life, this house provides a wonderful upscale experience, more like someone's personal home. I have included many interesting things, including vintage books, a complete electronic entertainment package on not just one but two floors, and upgraded furnishings and beds, because I knew that most of the other places in the area were very basic and bare bones.. so far it has proven to be a very popular destination.
