This apartment was everything as described and more.
We have been to Venice many times but have never stayed in Dorsoduro. What a beautiful part of Venice. It's very cold at this time of year, but the apartment was warm, bright and in a great location. In a residential area surrounded by gardens, it was extremely quiet.
Elisa was very welcoming and her handover was thorough. THe apartment was well equipped for our needs, clean and extremely comfortable. As we were tired on arrival, we went around the corner for a great pizza the same evening, which is also close to a well stocked supermarket, full of lovely Italian goodies.
Would we recommend this to our friends? Of course.

This was a great apartment, clean, sunny, efficient, private and well located. We never did figure out how to work the dishwasher, but other than that it was perfect. Elisa who settled us in was very friendly and thorough and was able to troubleshoot the wi-fi connection for us to make it work. We did actually fit 7 people and it was quiet, but close to a grocery store.

We loved this place!

This place is excellent for a venice getaway! The apartment is immaculate and very centrally located. It is one black from the Zattere and a 5 minute walk to the Grand Canal. It also a 10 minute walk from Campo Santa Margherita. The apartment has a full kitchen, washing machine and free wifi. Ou rhost, Laura, was very helpful before and our after our trip as we left one of our suitcases behind by mistake. She was very easy to reach via telefonino and was always attentive to make sure that we enjoyed our stay there. If you want to cook your own meals, the supermarket is about a 5 minute walk from the apartment. We would definitely stay there again!

I just returned from Italy and in Venice we stayed in Laura's beautiful apartment. The apartment is actually more lovely in person. It is very well appointed - full kitchen with anything you need (microwave, gas stove and range, full size refrigerator, dishwasher, etc). Wonderfully spacious with room to spread out if you are travelling with teenagers and need your own space. Laura is putting in a 2nd bath which will be nice. I loved staying in this neighborhood in Venice, so quiet and one canal away is the beautiful Guidecca canal. My husband and I would sit and watch the sunset every evening we were in Venice along the Guidecca canal. I am looking forward to the day when we can return and stay in this apartment again, I would recommend it highly for those who want to be away from the high tourist areas and want to experience more of a local neighborhood. It is a very quick walk to Academia bridge and even closer to the Peggy Guggenheim museum. Can't say enough good things about it and Laura was very helpful in answering all of our questions and making recommendations for restaurants, museums, the best gelato, etc.

Fabulous apartment in a lovely part of Venice

My sister, her husband and I stayed in this apartment in Sept 2011. It was amazing!!! It was so clean, it was wonderfully spacious and it smelled amazing!! There is a lovely little kitchen, with a stove, fridge, microwave, sink and lots of cupboards filled with everything you will need. The living room/dining area is very spacious and well appointed. There is also a little sitting area when you first come in to relax and enjoy a book or catch up on email etc. Unfortunately, the wifi wasn't working when we were there, but I know Laura was getting it fixed as soon as we left. The bedrooms were very spacious - one bedroom with 2 double beds. I'm not 100% sure of the size, but they were bigger than twin beds and the master bedroom had a king size bed with a large closet and lots of space. The bathroom has a washing machine that came in very handy after travelling for a few weeks and the bathroom itself is very nicely set up. The view from the beautifully shuttered windows is of a lovely garden courtyard. It was so peaceful here!! When we arrived we took a water bus up the Canale della Giudecca to the Zattere stop and we were about 250 m from the apartment. It wasn't far to carry our bags at all. We were met at the apartment and given a tour as well as shown how everything worked along with ideas of where to eat and where to get groceries, etc. She was very helpful. Everything is within easy walking distance and while you're walking you're discovering the beauty that is Venice around every corner!! I hope to be able to come back someday and stay here again. I highly recommend this apartment!!!

Perfect Family Visit to Venice

My wife and two boys (5 & 7) and I stayed at this apartment in August 2011. The Apartment was spotless and well appointed. We had plenty of space and the A/C and Internet were both excellent. The owner, Laura was very accomodating and Gaia who met us at the apartment upon arrival was very helpful. Both Laura and Gaia were ready with recommendations for site seeing and local dining. The location for the apartment is great if you like peace and quiet, but want to be close to the main sites: 15-20 minutes to Piazza San Marco, 10 minutes to Accademia, 20 minutes or so to the Rialto bridge. We would highly recommend this apartment for families as well as small groups of friends looking to enjoy a visit to Venice. We came home with unfading fond memories and great photos.
