Great new two story house with loft. Open air design with fully equiped kitchen and large downstairs patio and spacious upstairs deck.

Just completed in 2006 Casa Teka is located 30 yards from a beautiful secluded beach, a very short walk to several dining areas including Mary's Pizza, the Sunset Reef Hotel, and various local soda's. The only canopy tour in mal pais, Canopy del Pacifico, and sportfishing boats are less than a 10 minute walk south. Great snorkeling is also a 5 minute drive further south.

Located at the south end of Mal Pais Casa Teka offers peace and quiet away from the sometimes busy Mal Pais center. The house is fully equiped with TV, DVD player, washer and dryer, linens, towels, a safe for valuables, ceiling and mobile fans, and a complete kitchen. Also, a hammock downstairs for lounging and beach chairs upstairs for catching some sun.

A somewhat private beach in front offers a great opportunity for romantic sunsets and peaceful walks. Also, dont be surprised if you are awoken by monkeys who often hang out in the trees out back.

Property manager located 1 mile from the house. Local bilingual resident since 1993.

Your not going to want to leave this house after only a week. This house is beautiful. It is a true Coata Rican experance. The location is exceptional. It is in walking distance to: the beach, one on the best restaurants in the area Mary's. Mary's has there own organic farm. You can also walk to an excellent surf shop. The owner at Freedom riding SUP is a great guy and teacher. And if that is not enough you can also walk to Canopy tours, saling, and the fish camp. If you don't want to catch your own fish just walk down the road 10 min. and you can buy fresh fish from the fisherman that caught them that morning. The property manager is very pleasant and easy to work with.

We just returned from spending a week at Casa Teka and enjoyed our stay thoroughly! The home is surrounded by Hibiscus, Coconut Trees, and Mango Trees and is 50 yds from a very secluded beach. We appreciated the knowledge the property manager shared after living in the community for 20 years! I'd suggest renting a quad or 4x4 for the week to get around. Sailing, surfing, fishing, and the canopy tour are all within walking distance. When we felt like being social and hitting the party scene we headed into Santa Teresa but we enjoyed the quiet nights the home had to offer as well. There is also a "soda" and a supermarket really close to the house, as well as Mary's Restaurant which has excellent food. I would suggest the house to anyone from small families to couples that are looking for a nice place that is away from main action of Santa Teresa / Mal Pais but close enough to enjoy it. We even had the pleasure of watching howler monkeys from the deck! If you're looking for an excellent place to stay without breaking the bank, Casa Teka is your casa!
