Had a fantastic time in the keys and this was the perfect place to base ourselves we travelled with our 2 children 3 and 5 the apartment was perfect lovely and clean with everything needed close to fantastic beach just at the end of the rd also close to supermarket resort is a little dated but we found everyone helpful and friendly even a little tiki bar on site too would recommend to anyone looking for a great place to stay :)

My husband and I just completed a 4 night stay over New Year at this property, firstly I am very glad we booked as when we drove down highway 1, we didn't see a resort that didn't say "no vacancy"
The room was wonderfully clean, and when we arrived the ac had been left on for us,though we had no need to use it again - we're from Barbados and Florida in winter feels nice and cool! it had been updated very nicely when compared to the other units we saw, with a new kitchen and bathroom, lovely floor tiles and nice tropical style furniture, everything worked, the kitchen was well equipped, there was a nice big safe in the wardrobe, hairdryer etc we would recommend this place in an instant, booking was straightforward it was easy to find and although there arn't any great views to be had, who spends time looking out of windows when you have the keys to explore!
We had a great day Kayaking around the Mangroves courtesey of Wheels to go (they also rent bikes) their office is opp Mcdonalds on Highway 1, who dropped the Kayak off for us at Sombrero beach,gave us a great map, we saw loads of wildlife also had a fantastic meals at both Castaways and the Sunset Grille, never got a chance to use the bar or pool at the resort but did have a walk by the canal - again saw pelicans and a giant Iguana!
If we ever go back to Marathon this is where we will stay A+++++!!!!!

Upgraded and updated 1BR gem of a condo was perfect for our family of 3. All was just as pictured in the photos listed and well-maintained. The king size bed was clean and comfortable as was the futon on the living area. Nice flat screen tvs that worked great. Owner was great to work with and answered all my questions promptly. The safe in the closet was helpful. AC units new and worked GREAT!Appliances all new and in great working condition. Hot water worked great and shower had good water pressure. Linens provided as well as extra pillows and blankets. Pool was large, well maintained, and within easy walking distance. Tiki bar was open a few nights while we were there, and there was live music one night. Very close to a great beach...Sombrero! Best 4th of July fireworks show we have ever seen...45 minute show! Convenient to 2 grocery stores, KMart, and other shopping for food, restaurants, snorkeling adventures and only a little over an hour to Key West. We recommend Spirit snorkeling, Porky's for lunch, and Castaways or the Key Fisheries for dinner with sunset. Take a day trip to Bahia Honda State Park- only 20-25 minutes away. Tennis courts were nice and fully functional. Easy access to the canal if you have a boat or kayak. Covered parking was available, but only minimal spaces. Laundry facilities on site, but were a bit pricey. We felt had our privacy although this appeared to be a pretty full property, with both renters and permanent residents. Overall, the resort property was in fair shape and appeared to be in transition with property management and maintenance. An older property in need of some tlc, but this particular unit was great! We would go back and would recommend to others! Great value for a week's stay and location was ideal!
