My wife took our 16 year old daughter and 8 friends for a birthday weekend at the beach. The house was close to town, with a perfect view from nearly every part of the house. It was a newer home, nicely decorated, and very clean.
The true test of a property for us is, "will we want to rent this home again"? YES! We are already looking at calendars to see when we can return. I would definately refer friends to this property.

What an absoltuely lovely and so well accomodating home!! We were at first a bit worried if there would be enough sleeping arrangments for our mini family get away of 12, but the home was perfect! Gorgeous details and the view---the view was incredible! Loved sitting on the deck having happy hour drinks, watching the pelicans dive in the ocean for fish, watching the surfers, the fishermen and beachcombers and then the gorgeous sunset. So roomy, plenty of bathrooms for all, ping pong was a blast for the teenagers and the sauna wonderful. Absolutely loved it. My dad has been coming to Seaside for 70 years - we have pictures from 1940 of him staying at the Tides and this is where he stayed year after year and has such fond memories of the Prom and downtown. This trip we all went into town to have a Pronto Pup, salt water taffy, ride the bumper cars and sit on the wall at the turn around. He LOVED this home and the spaciousness, the deck and the view!! Thank you thank you.

Only hiccup - albeit small: Somehow an oversight by the cleaning company and we arrived early and they did not have on schedule that there were renters until five days later. The house was left by prior renters very messy and it took the maid (by herself) hours to clean and we ended up not having enough dish soap, papertowels, no bar soap for showers, garbarge bags etc. (we just bought some in town) Other than this small hiccup, everyting else was perfect.

We had a blast in this lovely home this past weekend. Took 2 of our kids and their families and enjoyed the ambience of the gas fireplace while watching the 12-14 surfers right outside our windows! The rooms were spacious and cozy and the bathrooms (in each bedroom) were amazing! The huge kitchen was a "hit" with everyone as we all had room to cook and enjoy each others company. The only thing that disappointed us was having to leave! We WILL be back!

The house was perfect for our family and friends to gather for the Thanksgiving Holiday weekend. It was exciting to watch storms blow outside while we were cozy and warm in the house. We were so close to the ocean waves we felt as if we were on a ship on the high seas! We are already talking about returning in 2012!

We loved our weekend! We especially enjoyed watching surfers daily from the two oceanside decks and the stunning day and night time views of Seaside and the ocean. We took many walks to downtown. The sauna was such a treat on a cold afternoon. Loved falling asleep to the sound of the waves crashing. The home is beautiful and spacious. We regret not having more people to enjoy it! We were a party of 5 adults and 2 kids with plenty of room to move and things to do. Thank you! We will be back :)

My wife and I examined nearly every listing before deciding on this property. All I can say is we made the right choice. We've used VRBO a number of times, but never stayed in a home like this. It was amazing!
Because it's literally right on the beach, no matter where you are in the house you're guaranteed a stunning ocean view. My favorite was falling asleep to the sounds of the crashing waves.
Next, this house is beautiful inside. There was plenty of room for everyone (we had a party of 8). My wife loved huge open kitchen, and beautiful master bath. I enjoyed the sauna to warm up these old bones. And the kids had a marathon ping pong tourney on the lower level. There are two large tvs, so everyone was able to watch what they wanted.
Finally, I'd like to mention the hospitality of Donavan & Sophie. They were so gracious to answer all of our silly questions, and quickly took care of it when I'd locked the keys inside the home.
This the first 5 star rating we've ever given. Simply put, you won't regret staying at this amazing property.

We had an enjoyable time at this house, but had a HUGE dissapoinment as the house is not "on the beach", or even "steps from the beach" as advertised. We rented this house 100% because we had young children and wanted a place ON THE BEACH (not "near the water") so that they could come and go without the adults packing everything up and going out with them. This house is located on the water with a quarter mile of rocks between you and the sand. We had to go down to the road and walk 10 minutes with 6 kids in tow to get to the public access to the sand The beach to us means sand. This house has amazing views and if you have no desire to stick your feet in the sand this house is for you. If you have kids and want them to be able to go to the BEACH, this house is not for you.

The house was clean and designed beautifully. However, We felt really disappointed that the description and photos were not more accurate as we paid good money and had family come together from across the country for the sole purpose of being together on the beach. The description should specify that there are rocks only down to the water with deep ocean there. (there are surfers right outside our door!) you can not walk on the sand or get in the water here.
