Local Attractions: The beach is just across the street and you're only a couple of blocks from Edgewater Mall. The Coast Coliseum and Beauvoir, Jefferson Davis home, is just two miles to the east. The Beau Rivage Casino is 6.5 miles to the east and the Island View Casino is 6 miles to the west. We are centrally located to deep sea fishing, golfing, gaming, shopping, great dining, Gulf Islands Water Park, Ship Island Excursions, etc. Lynn Meadows Discovery Center is just west of us and there are numerous theaters with stage productions going on all the time. Addtionally, New Orleans is only 1.5 hours to the west if you like the Bourbon Street scene and Mobile is 1.5 hours to the east if you like historic stuff like Bellingrath Gardens and lots of other attractions for a great day trip. Annual Events/Festivals: There is something always going on in our area from the Crawfish Festival to Cruisin the Coast. Each year the events get larger. The Harley Davidson Blowout is on Memorial Day weekend, Scrapin the Coast is in June, Crusin the Coast is in October, Blastin the Sound is in the Spring, Many of our parks have splash pools for the kids. Jones Park in Gulfport close to Hwy 49 is under construction and will have a plethora of things for children to do in addition to the huge marina that is underway.
