Great Lakeside Cabin

Great, clean lakefront cabin! Mike was a pleasure to work with by phone and email, and very prompt in answering all of our questions. We traveled with two teenagers, and the cabin had more than enough space for everyone (each teen had their own bedroom and bathroom!). The place can easily sleep 10. The large kitchen was the most equipped of any cabin or condo we have ever rented. Huge washer and dryer on site. There was a DVD player for movies, but no cable TV, giving the family the needed space to chat, play games, and watch some old movies. The two-car garage was very roomy for our large minivan and bikes. There were three bikes and a smaller girl's bike on site for guest use. Nice canoes were also available, though the lake was unseasonably mostly frozen over in mid-June (!) so we could not take them out. Plowed paved streets go all around the connected lakes, for nice daily walks or bide rides. The Ice Lodge, on the opposite end of the lakes from the cabin, is a nice seasonal spot for drinks or dinner. Very close to Soda Springs and Sugar Bowl Ski Resorts, and Royal Gorge Cross Country trails. We took several short day trips down to Donner and Tahoe Lakes as well, making the cabin a nice launching point for area sightseeing. This is a perfect year-around cabin for a family reunion, a multi-family vacation, or a quiet single family vacation.
