Very Relaxing

The house is the last house in the row of houses on the levy, with a private boat marina to the right. There are two decks; one adjoins the house, the other overlooks the dock. Both decks are great places to hang out with pretty views of the water. The inside is very functional with one big room for the kitchen, dining and living space. Everything looked like it had been recently remodeled. We cooked two nice meals and found the kitchen very functional and the barbecue convenient. The bathroom has sinks on opposite sides that are separate from the shower and toilet. The beds were actually comfortable! --probably the most comfortable we've experienced in using VRBO for a half dozen rentals so far. It was nice to have linens and basics like toilet paper already stocked. We enjoyed walks on the levy with the dog--nice that dogs are allowed. My husband and I came with his parents, aged 82 and 87. 87-year-old dad enjoyed fishing off the dock; caught and released a small striped bass and a catfish. 82-year-old mom joined us for a kayak tour with Delta Kayak Adventures from Sunset Harbor. It was very very relaxing with the warm weather, the river rolling by and the birds chirping. The caretakers were friendly and helpful. We could see there was much more to discover but we were happy relaxing, playing guitar, eating our gourmet meals and watching the river go by! We love that it's only 45 minutes from much of the SF Bay Area. It's like whole other world, just over the hills! We hope to be back again.

Fishing Trip

Four of us stayed for two nights. We found the house to be clean and well supplied. The large kitchen and convenient cooling island was a big positive for us. The house is well supplied with towels, linens, pilllows, etc. The location turned out to be good for access to the fishing spots we use. The dock and area were very good. We were not able to take full advantage of all the features. Parking worked out well in that we had two cars and were able to put the boat trailer on the grass. Lisa was very attentive to our needs checking with us regularly. Comfortable in many ways. Thanks

The house was ideal and we enjoyed our stay. I know the house will look great once you've been able to get all the upgrades done. One suggestion is get satellite TV as the stations are limited now. We may use the house again in the future and I look forward to it.
P.S. Lisa and Bob were great, checking on us periodically but letting us have our privacy as well.

We were very happy with the accomodations of our recent stay. It was everything the owners Ron and Kathy described and what I read in the reviews. Everything we needed was there and then some. Bob and LIsa the caretakers were wonderful as well! The location of this house was perfect for what we enjoy doing which is wakeboarding, etc. It was close to many sloughs that provided smooth water all day!

Relaxing Delta Vacation

My husband and I really enjoy fishing. This house has a great location near Franks Tract and it's easy to launch at Sugar Barge. Everything was clean and the kitchen is very well stocked. The owners are easy to work with and it's great having Bob and Lisa (caretakers) close by if you have any questions. I wouldn't hesitate to rent this place again in a heart beat. We love the delta!

Wonderful Delta Vacation

My husband and I enjoyed our stay on the Delta. The owners Ron & Kathy and the caretakers Bob and Lisa where very kind and easy to work with. The kitchen is nicely stocked and has updated appliances. Everything went smoothly and we had a wonderful stay. I wouldn't hesitate to go back again, if only I could get more vacation time!

We have stayed here several times. Usually once a summer. We decided to come on President's day weekend since the kids had a 4-day weekend. The weather was beautiful. We fished (although no catches, fun none-the-less). We had dinner at the Rusty Porthole and it was delicious. We went into Brentwood and went shopping at Wal-mart and PacSun. This place is, whether for one day or for a week, is a great getaway. With shopping 20 minutes away to boating 40 feet way it is always a treat to visit Bethel Island. Yes, we will come again. Thank you so much!!!

End of summer visit

the keil's were very accomodating and easy to make this reservation. the property was exactly as described and the owner's provided additional information the made preparation for the trip easy. this may be the best location on the island with long stretches of fast water just a few minutes away and easy access to the islands restaurants and shops. we have stayed at many bethel island vacation rentals and this is the best value that we have found. we had a great time.
