Pefect summer getaway, 2 hours from Manhattan.
Clean, as promised vintage 50s cabin with great customer service. Highly recommended. Hope to be back in the Fall!

My two girlfriends and I had a lovely time at this vintage cabin. We were delighted by the whimsical aspects of the 50s decor and special touches. We took advantage of the canoe and had a lovely ride around the lake. The kitchen was easy to use and had everything we needed. We especially enjoyed the outdoor shower and use of the grill and campfire pit.

This adorable cabin all decorated in retro style is so quiet and peaceful, you will feel like you are the only person in the world. However, the cabin has all the amenities you need and the town is just a short drive away to get supplies.
The only thing separating you from the lake is a little road that rarely is traveled. You feel like the lake belongs to you and you only. Take the canoe out and paddle around the island that is in the middle or just float and relax. Barbecue and eat out on the picnic table and hike it off through the nature trails.
Inez the owner and designer is very nice and easy to contact if needed.
An artist myself, I painted the view of the lake with a couple of the vintage chairs in the foreground to remind me of the wonderful time I had there.

My husband and I needed a break from the city and decided to rent this cabin for our anniversary. We couldn't have been happier! The cabin has a fun retro motif that makes it so much more than a campground cabin. Other than that, the place was what you would expect for a cabin, it had the basics and was well kept. It's perfect for people who are looking to get away from it all and enjoy nature. Each morning we woke up to a peaceful lake view and in the evenings we got to fire up the wood stove on account of the chilly weather. We enjoyed taking the canoe out to the far side of the lake to get a good view of the mountains behind the cabin. There are several nature trails just down the road that are fun to hike. The town is small but it has everything you could ask for, good food and pleasant folk. If you're willing to drive a little further, there are some amazing state parks nearby and other sights that are worth seeing. We drove out to Bash Bish Falls for an afternoon.

The owner was always in touch with any updates in regards to the cabin and was quick to answer my emails. She's super sweet and let us know about this "pick your own" pumpkin patch that we would pass on the way home. The pumpkin we picked up made for a great reminder of our lovely weekend together.
