We loved the house itself. It was so nice to come back to after a day of touring. And the beds were so comfortable that we all agreed we couldn't remember when we last slept so well. The only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is because I felt that the photos don't fully represent the surroundings. We thought that it would be a bit more private with the mountains in the backyard. Instead there was another home backing up to the property. That being said, the neighbors were quiet and we didn't notice them all that much. So don't let that deter you from staying here as the home really is lovely. Just something to be aware of.
I'd recommend eating at the Desert Bistro for those without young children. It's a small restaurant with excellent food, and a bit pricey. For people of all ages with hearty appetites, eat at the Moab Brewery. It's always crowded but you'll get seated quickly. There's a lot of variety on the menu, the food's great and the portions are huge.

Loved the Moab Pearl!

Our two families with 4 kids and a dog stayed here for 5 nights in March - what a treat! The house is straw bale construction and really fits into the desert landscape. The owners have decorated it beautifully and tastefully and it's equipped with everything you need, especially the kitchen. The outdoor spaces are lovely as well and we pinched ourselves as we sat outside by the fire looking at the full moon or soaking in the hot tub after a day of mountain biking with a view of the snow-covered LaSalle mountains. Doesn't get much better than that! The beds are really comfortable and the linens are high-quality, as are the towels.
The house is out of town to have peace and quiet but close enough to pop in for dinner or whatever you need -- Brewed Awakenings coffee hut was great and close by. It's also located by the Hidden Valley and Pipeline trailheads - Hidden Valley is a fantastic hike and the Moab Rim trail that runs from town is a great ride.
Also, loved the fact that the owners were flexible and have a kid-and-dog-friendly house. They even had dog bowls and a dog bed! The kids loved the loft and there was an extra futon for one of the kids who slept on the floor.
We rent a lot of houses on VRBO and this was one of our favorites. Also, we have stayed in motels in town when visiting Moab in the past -- never again! We'll be back at the Pearl next year for our spring break trip for sure.

The Moab Pearl definitely lives up to its hype! We can't imagine any other property in Moab that can offer the tranquility, trail access and creature comforts all in a green, eco-friendly environment. We are already dreaming of our next trip to the Pearl!

Moab Pearl is a LOVELY vacation hideaway!

we LOVED our stay at the Moab Pearl. We enjoyed the nearby trails and even in the dead of winter, the Pearl was a cozy homebase for fun excursions. Everything we needed was there, and the home is beautifully decorated and spotless. The radiant heat kept us warm all day and night (even in negative temps) and the hot tub was dreamy in the evenings. we fell in love with The Pearl and cannot wait to return. Highly recommend this rental for couples, families, friends and pet lovers.

Extremely Comfortable Place to say in Moab

We rented the Moab Pearl for 7 nights in September 2012. The house is everything that the description says it is. It is a wonderfully decorated house, with a spacious open design. It has very comfortable beds. It has great views.
The kitchen was better stocked than we expected and we love to cook so that made the experience that much better. We would definitely recommend it to anyone and will rent again when we return to Moab.

This place has all the accoutrements as advertised - and environmentally correct to boot. We prepared most meals in the top-rate kitchen, except for dinners nights 2 & 3 after full days of Mtn Biking. The magnificent desert landscape is literally outside the back door - we hiked Hidden Valley right from the house. It's nice to be away from the downtown area.

Just got back from a four day stay at the Moab Pearl. The house was awesome! very comfortable, spacious, close to town. It was also great having a hot tub and fire pit for those cool nights. This was our first time to Moab and we already want to plan a return trip!

Wonderful Stay!

The Moab Pearl was a great place to launch our Utah adventures from. Great location just outside downtown Moab with easy access to all the beauty of eastern Utah. It was the perfect place to come home to after long days of hiking, biking, etc. Fully stocked with everything we could possibly need and great prompt communication with the owners regarding not only questions about the Pearl, but also local recommendations. Would highly recommend for anyone from couples to families or group of friends with plenty of space for relaxing both inside and out. Even after having a small accident at their house, Moe was so accommodating and understanding about everything. We will happily return here in the future.

The Moab Pearl was the ideal place to stay for a visit to Moab. It was perfect for the 4 of us (2 couples) and the kitchen was well supplied. Nothing was better than a long soak in the hot tub after a day of hiking and sightseeing. It was so nice to meet the owner who came every day to work on the landscaping but was not at all intrusive. We also appreciated the owners eco attitude and the work they have put in to achieve that.Everything was clean and well maintained. If you visit the Moab Pearl be sure to go to both National Parks and Dead Horse Point State Park. The views are incredible!
