Maple Beach House; Almost Heaven, almost Canada
A lover of Bald Eagles, I found Boundary Bay (Pt. Roberts) through watching it for months during a nesting season of the White Rock Eagles (HancockWildlife.org) long distance cam. I decided, that even though the eagles had left the area to teach their young to fish, I wanted to stay on Boundary Bay, specifically the Point Roberts area. So safe and QUIET. Maple Beach House is on the east side of Pt. Roberts, whereas the south and west beaches afford wonderful Orca whale watching.
Was able to locate MapleBeachHouse on Homeaway. Couldn't be more pleased. I arrived to their charming second floor, 3 bedroom apartment. The views are both breath-taking, and calming. Spotlessly maintained, all the comforts. It is right on Boundary Bay, with tide pools,, boats, crab pots, boats.
One can't get lost in Pt. Roberts. One can get to the US Border within 10 minutes, for broader range of shopping, however, there was just about everything I needed within 10 minutes by car.
I intend to return during Bald Eagle nest watching season (June-August), although the pair I have been watching returned to do their nestorations on Oct. 3.
The beach house charm of the decor, deck for grilling and entertaining, their new guest house, well, did I say it was quiet? Wonderful vacation. Next time I go, it will be with a fellow kayaker!

Gorgeous suite overlooking the ocean
We rented the suite this summer for my wedding which was held in Point Roberts. The suite was spacious, clean and absolutely perfect for us for getting ready for the big day!! The bedrooms were huge and the beds were heaven! We loved the spacious living area and the covered porch at the front was perfect for gazing out onto the ocean. This was a wonderful place to relax and enjoy gorgeous Boundary Bay on the days before and after our wedding. Thank you so much to Carol for your hospitality and what a wonderful job you have done with this gorgeous old space. We can't wait to come back! Thank you :)

All-too-short a stay at Maple Beach House
My family of four stayed for three nights in July of 2012, and the time passed by all too quickly. The location is fantastic - directly across a small road from the beach, and the accommodations are spacious, immaculate, and beautifully appointed. We loved the views up and down the beach, and the enclosed porch was perfect for reading and enjoying a cup of tea. It's apparent that the owners put much thought and effort into the renovations, appointments, and furnishings for this charming rental. We are already looking forward to our next visit.
Aside from all of the beach time (the tide variance is truly amazing!), we enjoyed touring the island on rental bikes (Pedal Pushers) and dinner at the South Beach House.

Perfect family vacation
This was our second summer trip to Maple Beach House and we loved it just as much as we did the first year. It's the perfect family vacation for our family of six - we spent our week riding bikes on the quiet streets, swimming, exploring the beach when the tide was out, or relaxing in the Beach House. The house has everything we need and our hosts were lovely. The accommodations are very roomy, comfortable and charming and the setting is idyllic. We'll definitely be coming back for a third year - coming to Maple Beach House is the highlight of our summer.

A wonderful week at Maple Beach
In August, 2010, my wife and I and 4 other family members spent a near perfect week at Maple Beach. Our expectations were high and they were more than met as we very much enjoyed staying in the apartment which was roomy, well furnished and very comfortable with excellent views of the ocean at the front of the house and a large deck at the back where we BBQ'd our dinner every night. Our host, Carol, was very helpful and friendly. We also enjoyed walking on the beach and cycling the quiet back roads of Point Roberts and the small and friendly community of Maple Beach. We look forward to our next stay.

The website photos do not do justice to the size, comfort or charm of this luxurious seaside guest home. The hosts are always available and accommodating but not at all intrusive. Our family had a wonderful relaxing time and we would recommend it to anyone who does not want to book it when we intend to return.

The Maple Beach House is the epitome of
seaside charm. The house has every
convenience and comfort, but preserves
the 1920's era in which it was built.
The waterfront view is fantastic and we
spent every evening having dinner on the
deck and watching the sunsets. The
owners were always accomodating and it
made our vacation with 2 small children
very relaxing. Lots of fresh air and
long restful sleeps is exactly what we
needed. We enjoyed every minute of our
stay and intend to go back every summer.

After losing our beloved summer cottage at Boundar Bay I spent 2 weeks in August at Maple Beach House. The accomodation is comfortable, luxurious and spacious with lots of perks and amenities. The owners are very friendly and helpful.The living room and glassed in porch are perfect for reading, dining and socializing. The ocean views are amazing and reminded me of the vistas from our waterfront cottage.

My friends and I rented the upper floor of the house for a weekend and had the most relaxing and enjoyable time. The kitchen was well-stocked with condiments and tea/coffee and they had plenty of blankets and linens for all of us. We happened to be there on a chilly weekend so we couldn't take advantage of their patio but in the summer it would be ideal. The bedrooms were spacious and comfortable and the living area had plenty of seating. I really liked the enclosed solariums, it was the perfect spot to read a book or have lunch. This house had so many little personal touches- we'll defninitely be back!
