A lovely apartment and a gracious hostess
One could not ask for a better location in Montmartre, and this charming little apartment was ideal for our mid-January sojourn in Paris. Isabelle was just as welcoming, helpful, and accommodating as other reviewers have noted. Excellent water pressure in the shower, plenty of hot water. A full kitchen with dishes, pots, pans, and the all-important corkscrew! We walked to Sacre Coeur, the Lapin Agile, and into lower Montmartre. The rest of Paris was a quick Metro ride away, and Isabelle connected us with an airport shuttle that was 35Euro for two of us, door to door. The bed is comfortable, the room was warm enough, and as long as you don't boil water and dry your hair simultaneously, the electricity works perfectly. ;) Even when we blew a circuit breaker, it was quickly remedied with the flip of a switch (which Isabelle had explained in advance). Wifi and free VOIP calls to the US were great, and there were no problems with ambient noise.
I would recommend this property without reservation. The price was completely reasonable, payment was simple and we were refunded our deposit the day we left. When we couldn't stay past check-out time because of an imminent check-in, our hostess offered to keep our suitcases in a locked room adjacent to the street for us while we waited in a cafe for our shuttle.
As an aside, the locals we encountered in Paris was polite, kind, and helpful. As Americans with limited French language skills, we were a bit apprehensive; there was no cause. Parisians were nigh-universally courteous, accommodating, and generous - just remember to say 'bonjour' and 'au revoir' - greetings go a long way!
