Beautiful Villa, Beautiful Barbados!

I stayed here for 2 weeks with two other people in August 2008, and it was the first time I've stayed in Enterprise - as I frequently stay in Maxwell.
Being also the first time I'd rented a villa in Barbados, I was naturally concerened with details being accurately displayed about the property on this website and about handing over large amounts of money to a complete stranger!
But my fears were completely squashed! Not only did the owner take alot of time to make sure my questions were thoroughly answered, but was extremely good at making sure clear and excellent payment methods were offered in order for us to feel safe and be efficient in the transfer of payments!
And even better, there were transfers to and from the airport arranged! On arrival, the property was absolutely beautiful and immaculate! I cannot fault this property one bit in terms of condition, space, contents and making sure the finer details were thought of and in place. As for the location, you cannot pass the opportunity of visiting the secluded Cotton bay Beach (3 min walk) or Miami Beach (8 min walk) and Oistins (10 min walk)!! Everything is within walking distance, and most of all it was safe...
I would advise that although there is a Government bus that passes near the property, it really isn;t worth waiting for it as once you miss it - it's another 1hr wait! Much better to take the beautiful walk down to Oistins and take the ZR vans from the main road..
Overall, as a frequent visitor to Barbados, this is a wonderful property, with an accommodating owner. David, I will definately be here again real soon! Sincerely, the best stay I have had in Barbados so far....and that's saying something!...All you need is a pool now!

I stayed at this property with my husband and teenage daughters for a week in July before our 2nd week on the West Coast.
I would say the pictures and description of Seriento do accurately portray the property which was delightful and very well situated.
The nearby Enterprise beach is gorgeous and not to busy. (Much better in fact than the west coast). It has excellent facilities and you can get very good lunches and drinks from a mobile van.
The Oistens fish fry was very good and we ate twice at Pat's Place. I would recommend the Marlin and Swordfish but in fact everything looked good.
There is a very well stocked Supermarket at Oistens and buses go regularly into Bridgetown.
You don't really need to hire a car but we felt it was worth it to get the most from your holiday. However be prepared to get lost!
I would strongly recommend this lovely property and would definately book again.

My 50th Birthday in Barbados June/July 2009

Myself and 3 of my girlfriends arrived on Friday 26th June 2009 to celebrate my 50th and one of the other girls 50th birthday and we were pleasantly surprised with the accommodation. The description was accurate regarding the layout and how near the two beaches were. The house facilities were good (except for computer access - there were many problems with the server being down) although it was nice that one was available.
The property was well maintained and easy to keep clean.
The owner provided good customer services / transfer to and from the airport.
We made use of the light beach bags we received - and was happy to display the seriento logo wherever we went - they were very handy/ useful.
I have already recommended this particular property to friends and I expect her to take up the offer and book it shortly.
It would be useful if the owner provided Bop insecticide to kill any cockroaches / other insects like ants, flies.
Turtle beach - is situated by the fish market in Oistins and is worth a day out feeding/ watching the turtles come up for air - they make great images and you can swim along side them if you wish.
St Lawrence Gap - is the place to be to meet the locals as well as for taking in the night life.
We were lucky to get around the 11 parishes as we had a friend who lives there and offered to drive us around - but you could do/see more if you had a vehicle available.
I heard(too late)that there is a place where you can hire bicycles - which is another good way of keeping fit and taking in alot of the scenery.
The Roots&Rythmn dinner/dance show at the Plantation - is a must.
Take the night bus and visit St James- there is a Piano Bar where you can hear some live music and other small bars in the same vicinity where you can join in and have fun with the locals singing Karaoke.
All four of us had a wicked stay in barbados and hope to make a return visit perhaps next year.
It was very safe at night and the locals both women and men/children are always very very friendly and willing to help in any way they can.

If you are looking through the barbados lettings and dont know where to stay, look no further... Seriento is exactly as it looks on the website, beautiful. Everything is as you would expect, infact maybe better, as you never quite know if things are going to live up to your expectations.
The staff at rex reality who meet you at the apartment after you arrive, are very friendly and informative, infact everyone is very friendly, the taxi man who collects you, the gardeners and the maid.. Even the neighbours infact the couple Tom & Lorraine who live at no 6 bent over backwards to make us welcome, they told us that their house was ours, and we could knock them anytime, if we needed anything, and we did, always to be met by cheerful faces.
The location of Seriento is in a very quiet cul de sac with a bus stop at the bottom of the road, and a beautiful private beach minutes away,the main beach Miami beach is also a very short walk away.
This is my third visit to Barbados, the 1st time i have stayed ay Seriento, but not the last.
Our party consisted of 4 ladies who were celebrating a 50th and we all were impressed with Seriento and the service we were given, David the owner has thought of everything to make your stay as comfortable as possible, we even recieved little rucksacks, which were great for carrying your towel and suntan lotion to the beach.
We all had a great two weeks at seriento, we were sad when it was time to leave, two weeks is not enough.... Look out Barbados the girls will be back and they will be staying at Seriento again....
Lastly you are within walking distance to the Friday night fish fry... Music. Good Food and friendly faces... Dont miss it.

This was an excellent property to rent in terms of location, amenities,proximity to the beach.The owner has a great web site ,everything is well organized and the arrangements are handled very professionally.The support staff offer superb knowledge of the area and attractions.We lived in Barbados 30 years ago and were still impressed with the pleasant attitude of the people.We have actually recommended this property to our travel agent and some of our co-workers.

My family and I have visited Atlantic Shores many times but this was my first stay in Seriento - after such a great holiday we will ceratinly be returning to this property for future holidays. The house was really well equipped for a self catering holiday and was well maintained by the cleaner who visited twice during our 10 day stay.
The location of the property is absolutely perfect in terms of access to what I believe is the best beach in Barbados - Enterprise. The area around the house was peaceful/quiet and perfect for families.
The owner could not have been more helpful in the run up to our arrival - he organised both a cot and highchair for our 6 month old baby which was really useful. The house overall is a good size for 4 guests having 2 bathrooms and a downstairs toilet.
The area to the back of the house provided a nice shaded/breezy area to cool off in during the day/early evening. Entertainment wise, the whole family had great fun playing bowls and tennis on the Wii ! Little extra things like this gave the property a definite edge over the more basic/standard apartments/resorty hotels on the island.
I would highly recommend this property and feel it was great value for money.

First of all I would like to thank David the owner of Seriento for accommodating us at his home. From the start of the booking up to our leaving for Barbados David kept in touch via e-mail followed by a quick call and package of the accommodation and any last minute questions we may have. (By the way David thanks for the dollar to enable us to make a phone call at the airport in B'dos if needed). The booking itself was made easy, with the agreement of David, which enabled payments to be made by installments and receipts sent acknowledging the payment.
The agent (Lauren) was there to greet us with a welcoming smile and show us around the house. All in all everything was there for us, just like being at home with home entertainment provided if you ever found yourself with time on your hands and even a mobile phone for use and access to the internet!! Again thanks for the welcome pack of food which enabled us to get through the evening and morning breakfast due to our time of arrival. All in all the accommodation was all we could wish for with no worries about security as the house has been made very secure.
Having read other reviews there is little left for me to say as they were all spot on with their comments regarding the beaches and Oistins being so close but still a little way from the touristy spots enabling you the peace and tranquillity of Enterprise. If you are able then hire a car as there is a lot to see in Barbados whereas you would have to time the public transportation and the buses do like to get as many people on as possible!! If there are any golfers out there, then Barbados Golf Club which is not too far is a must, the scenery was beautiful and the staff very accommodating.
All in all, as a couple, we thoroughly enjoyed the two weeks spent at Seriento, the only downfall being it wasn't long enough!! Would definitely stay there again.

Everything was as described at this property. It is spacious, well planned and I am certainly missing the massive American Cooker. It was easy maintenance, with everything you could need. I did find the bed a little hard though! Think you do need transport to get about, although we did find the lovely little beach just at the end of the road which was lovely. Oistins is a lovely friendly place, and the beach is great, we had lots of fun there. We experienced the wild Monkey's which strolled passed in the garden opposite. We would definately visit again. Thanks you so much for a great holiday.

My girlfriend & I went for a week of relaxation. We had a blast! The property was new and well-maintained. The owner arranged for transfers and all went smoothly. Would recommend using a cab if your first visit; but that was not a problem. Cabs were plenty to find and were eager to pick us up. The fish fry in Oistins on Fridays is a MUST. The beach is a five minute walk from the property and the fish cakes with pepper sauce from Mr. Delicious are worth it. Had a great time dancing in The Gap (Jumbie's on Saturday and McBride's on Sunday). We'll definitely be back.

As a first time visitor to Barbados, I can honestly says that the flight was worth the long haul. Myself and cousin and 3 other friends travelled together (all girls) arriving on my first day to my last day I found myself falling more and more in love with Barbados, the area and the locals are so friendly that you begin to feel at peace with oneself self. The main attraction to this whole holiday was that as 5 girls away on holiday it was nice to feel safe in the surroundings and in Barbados.
I would recommend this property to friend and family to go and stay in. The property was clean and very spacious considering that there were 5 girls on this vacanation . Fish fry on a Friday evening is the place to go wether young or old you will enjoy it.
David's villa is located in Christchurch which is North of the Island, close to location Beaches. The villa accommodates 4 one double with en-suite and a twin bedded room, a shower room. Cotton Beach is located about 100m away from the villa, Miami Beach 400m away. Both beaches are safe, Miami beaches is safe for children, small bay for children and toddlers, clear sea calm, all amenities there. The villa accommodated the 5 girls without any problems, the villa is suitable for a small parties to vacant in or couples or just as a retreat for peace and tranquilly. Even single travellers would find that even as a lone traveller it is so easy to get about and to make new friends and meet new people.
This a place to go, contact David and go and see for yourself you will not be disappointed. If your a driver and wanted to hirer a car then this too is easy and simple to do, driving is the same side as England. I could go on forever, but I was not disappointed and yes I am going to return and I am going to take my children with me.
One very happy person in Barbados and even after return back to the UK this is a place that will stay with me for the rest of my life, in my heart and I will treasure this May 08 experience till I return which ever the case may be God willing.
