Mi piace il sole spagnolo - I love Spanish sun

Review Submitted: September 14, 2009 Date of Stay: September 2009
La nostra permanenza alla villa è stata un vero piacere, i bambini si sono divertiti nella piscina e nel giardino. Noi "grandi" ci siamo fatti qualche bella paella, qualche partita a bigliardino e degustato abbondantemente i vini locali. Il sole di settembre è ancora decisamente caldo e le serate sono piacevoli e tranquille in mezzo alla campagna.

Dalla villa c'è una una vista magnifica, gli ambienti sono puliti e il servizio ottimo.
Da provare!

We enjoyed our stay at the villa, the kids enjoyed the pool and the open spaces. The adults enjoyed cooking Paella, playing the Foosball table and drinking the local wines.

The views were beautiful, villa clean and the service was excellent.
Owner's Response: La ringrazio molto per la tua recensione, siamo lieti che abbiate gradito il soggiorno.

Great two weeks with friends

Review Submitted: August 14, 2009 Date of Stay: July 2009
For the five year anniversary of our fraternity we booked this lovely villa near Valencia. The contact with the owner John by email and phone was perfect and helped us plan our trip. He gave us detailed instructions how to reach the villa and we had no trouble finding it by car. On arrival Claire, the caretaker, handed us the key's and showed us around the property. The spacious pool area and the fully equipped interior of the house made our stay a nice one. For two weeks we made use of the kitchen, outdoor grill, pool and 5 bedrooms. All well suited for a group of 10 students. We would like to thank John, Claire, Adam and Ian for a great holiday at a great place and recommend this to everyone who wants to stay in the countryside of Spain close enough to a big city like Valencia.
Owner's Response: Thank you for your kind words, we try to make sure that our guests enjoy their time at the villa and the Valencia area.

Great Villa for relaxing in Spain

Review Submitted: August 5, 2009 Date of Stay: May 2009
The Villa was exactly as advertised, we were well informed and had lots of contact with the owner prior to arriving in spain. The Villa was located in a wine growing region, with excellent views of the surrounding countryside and mountains. Easy to access with a small town with supermarket etc all less than 10min drive. Car essential, but great location none the less. The villa was well maintained and clean, we were in the villa for a 2 month stay and were very happy. The only point to mention is the solar power, it is exactly that, sound dont expect to leave lights and TV's on all night, and wake up expecting electricity! Us brits are not used to solar, but we soon got used to it. Well recommended.
Owner's Response: Thanks for the review, regarding your teething problems with the Solar power, as you know we have boosted the battery set-up so guests can watch TV all night if they wish!

Relaxing stay for stressed out City Workers

Review Submitted: April 22, 2009 Date of Stay: March 2009
I was recommended this villa via a colleague at work who had previously stayed there. Normally me & my friends tend to stay in hotels or apartments partying hard, so staying rural/self catering was a first for all of us. The owners provided some suggestions before we arrived on things to do & see, including the "Fallas" festival which was fantastic. The villa was clean, spacious & had a very relaxing feel about it. We enjoyed exploring the Valencia region, but also enjoyed just chilling out cooking on the BBQ, watching DVDs or playing table football & admiring the views.

NICE TIME HAD BY ALL

Review Submitted: September 18, 2008 Date of Stay: August 2008
Took my family here in August 2008. Everyone enjoyed themselves to the max. The villa was clean and very spacious. It really is in the middle of nowhere but as my children can be quite noisy this was a very good thing. If you are looking for a peaceful retreat away from the hustle and bustle of city life then this place comes highly recommended. A special thanks to Ian the manager who lives local for all his help and guidance every time we managed to get ourselves lost - who needs Sat Nav when you have Ian! :-)
Owner's Response: Thanks very much for your review, we look forward to having you & your family staying again next year. You have highlighted a key point regarding having someone local & on hand, just in case you have a question or get manage to lose your way! Lots of villa owners seem to simply, take your money, hand over the keys & that's it until its time to leave. We take a great pride in providing customer service from the 1st enquiry until the end of your stay.

Family Holiday August 2007

Review Submitted: May 28, 2008 Date of Stay: August 2007
I took my wife and 3 Children to this Beautiful Resort in what i describe as Real Spain, being that the area has not been ruined by the tourist industry. On Arriving to the Villa you notice that you are surrounded by beautiful landscape and the smell of fresh fruit from the local farms. The villa sits up on a hill which provides beautiful scenery all round and you get a real sense that you are in the heart of Spain. There is a good size swimming pool for the children and a safety gate surrounding it for when not in use, there is also a small play area which include swings. The Villa was very clean and very spacious with 5 very good sized bedrooms. The Living area is large and stays very cool through the peak heat and the cooking facilities are very good.

There is an BBQ out front which we took advantage off most nights, the local supermarket is a 15-20 min drive away which sells fresh local produce which makes for the perfect BBQ. I highly recommend this any families who are looking to get away from all the stressed hustle of normally holiday life in Spain.

I spent 7 days at this villa and my only regret is that i didn't have more time to explore the area. To sum it up it was a great family holiday, my 3 sons enjoyed it and i was surprised to see them eat the fresh meat and veg without any complaints, I will def be retuning with my family and friends as it is a large villa, i would recommend that you hire a car.

The owner John (British) is always at hand and is very helpful, there was no difficulty getting hold of him and was very helpful with telling me where to take the kids.
Owner's Response: Thank you for your comments, I did not realise that you were driving to the wrong town for supplies. Cheste is just down the road and has two medium sized supermarkets with plenty of fruit and veg, plus a fish & meat counter. There is also a butchers and bakery for fresh bread in that town. Since your stay we have added the promised second bathroom, we have also revisited the children's splash pool which will shortly have overhead cover to provide shade.

Perfect base for sightseeing or relaxing

Review Submitted: May 27, 2008 Date of Stay: April 2008
The villa is surprisingly large and has everything needed for a relaxing break. Located on top of a hill, it enjoys 360 degree views over the surrounding countryside which we enjoyed whilst dining outside cooking on the BBQ. It is ideally located for access to a large number of interesting towns, sights, hills, beaches etc. We enjoyed good service before and during our visit and would highly recommend this villa to those looking to "get away from it all". Valencia is a short drive away, although we also enjoyed the small local towns dotted around the area.
Owner's Response: Thank you for your comments. We take a personal pride in providing a good service to our guests and try to ensure their stay is enjoyable and trouble free. Cooking outside with fresh locally sourced produce gives a whole new mean to BBQing, maybe next time you could try cooking Paella! We hope you enjoy your stay later this year.

My visit

Review Submitted: March 21, 2008 Date of Stay: July 2007
I visited the villa and the Valencia area with some old Army comrades and their partners in July 2007. I have to say we thoroughly enjoyed the trip. This villa has superb panoramic vistas at all angles, the place was spotless and tidy. If you want to get away from it all then this is the place. Absolute peace and quiet except the sound of nature (birds, insects and the odd tractor). The pool was delightful as to was the BBQ area. As an eco tourist I was very impressed by the solar lighting and the peace of mind of a backup generator to watch TV etc. Ideally suited to families who want to relax or stressed out professionals and in our case a bunch of old mates who wanted to sit by the BBQ, enjoy some cold beers and chat about old times without the distraction of noisy music in the background.

We made use of the two local Golf clubs, managed a few busy nights in Valencia and it was great to learn that the old Spain still exists with its many customs and fiestas. Overall all 10 out of 10. Highly recommended and we are going back this year.
Owner's Response: Thank you for your review, you have touched on the key point that we feel makes a holiday or break special. The chance to slow down, relax, do things at your own pace, away from the mass crowds. The villa and the surrounding area offers our guests a chance to sample traditional Spain with the buzz of Valencia's modern nightlife a drive away.

Relaxing, welcoming, clean and great for groups

I held a painting workshop at the villa, the beautiful views were just perfect for my pupils. The villa was very comfortable, especially the log fire which kept us warm at night. I would recommend this villa and will return later this year. For those of you who don't speak Spanish or know the area, the owner has kindly supplied tour guides and suggested activities. Worth mentioning for their very attentive service are the couple who do the cleaning and welcome meeting.
