Chateau des Bordes
This imposing château dating back to the 14th century, sleeps up to 10 guests (plus baby) and boasts an outdoor pool. Its stone spiral stairs lead to the upper floors where sumptuous bedrooms have remnants of works by renaissance artists (beams and ceilings). The interior is comfortable with a modern kitchen, a spacious sitting / dining room and a smaller sitting room. The house is surrounded by nature. Enjoy the garden, its orchard, the little chapel and the (empty) dovecote. The river Burge runs alongside the parc, down a meadow. Fishing is allowed.

Relaxing castle in the French countryside

We stayed in this lovely castle with a large bunch. Parents, brother, me and my husband and our 3 children. As you can see from the pictures, there was still plenty of room. Kitchen has been modernized and is extremely functional. Great, old pictures and paintings and accessories throughout the castle. Lovely rooms. Wonderful grounds - pool house, dovecote, chapel, awesome garden. It is remote (20 min. from grocery store), but was a wonderful place for our family reunion and provided a great setting for a relaxing, fun vacation experiencing the french countryside and exploring the small villages around us. I would highly recommend for anyone that wants to "get away from it all" or for large groups that want plenty of space. Thanks Josic! We had a great time.
