My friends and I enjoyed this house so much. We walked to Mendocino every day and enjoyed that village. The furnishings are excellend and we enjoyed spending time cooking in the kitchen. We loved the gas stainless steel stove/oven and we spent as much time in the hot tub as possible.

Thank you Thompson family. We used to live here and come back to visit when we can. We have found the hidden treasure of a place to stay in Mendocino. We love this place and so does our dog. The bamboo floors are wonderful. The view is incredible and we enjoyed the hot tub every night looking at the stars. We had friends over and had a wonderful BBQ party. You will be seeing more of us.

Very dissapointing. The house was not clean, jaccuzi was not usable.

It looked like it had not had anyone there for months and had not been cleaned. We had to buy light bulbs! Would not recomend to anyone. Mendocino was great.

This cabin ending up being one of our favorites! The wild turkeys came through the front yard every morning and evening. I loved sitting outside looking toward the ocean in the evenings. The place was cozy and clean. It was just as we expected & more. We spent hours in the Jacuzzi sipping champagne while taking in the smells, sites and sounds of this wonderful coastal town. I got up early every morning and walked my dog into the village without a hitch. I personally loved the location. The beds are dreamy. We slept like babies. We will definitely return!

My husband and I spent a few days at the Mendocino cabin and found it to be relaxing, fun, and enjoyable because of the location, view, wood stove, books and Cd's, and not to forget, the very comfortable bed! If you view this place as more of a rustic cabin with ammentities you will not be disappointed. There are maintenance issues that I understand are now being addressed by the owner, so check first if you are counting on the hot tub, for instance. It was very nice to be able to use the laundry equipment located in the shed for long term travelers such as we were. And it is always nice to be able to cook a meal when doing extensive traveling so I appreciated having basic condiments at the house. It was a little difficult to find the house at first, but if you look for the Blackberry Inn, it is right across the street. We drove into Mendocino several times and enjoyed shopping there.

My wife, 3 year old daughter, dog and I just stayed for 5 nights at the Mendocino cottage. We came from Redding, CA and were glad to escape the heat a smoke!! We had a great time and would consider staying here again. We really liked the location since we were one mile away from my wife's sister's family who live right in Mendo. It was my daughter's first time to the beach and it was really nice just to drive to town and head down to the beach. My wife and I have rented many other houses on VRBO and we both felt that we slept better at this house than at any other because of the comfortable beds. Also, I didn't expect the two large living room windows with such a stunning view of the Pacific during the evening sunsets. Each day, there were 3 or 4 deer (including a nice size buck) that would wander up through the yard. The house could use some maintenance, but so could 80% of the houses in the area, so no big deal there. I would definitely stay here again and also feel that the price charged for the house was a good value for the area. Thanks, guys!!!!

We stayed at the cottage again and we loved it. Our dog raced around and got into the creek that flows on the property and had a great time. It was clean and the furniture is beautiful. We will be coming back.
