We have just returned from a week in La Paloma to celebrate a 50th & 60th birthday. What a fantastic choice I made, even if I do say so myself!! This house is superb in every way, the setting is unrivalled in it's beauty and the staff are outstanding.
Our expectations were completely exceeded and then some!
There are reviews on other sites too, and they are all positive and justified.
You are close to Sandy Lane, The Cliff Restaurant, Holetown and within walking distance of a supermarket. We hired a car but also travelled by bus, for the experience and they are plentiful.

My wife and I have spent an unforgettable 10 days at this villa. We were 8 young people in total without children and we had all sort of fun including parties till late night at perfectly equipped veranda with spectacular view over the ocean. We had time to explore this part of the coast and we can declare that you can’t get a better place from Bridgetown to Holetown than La Paloma. The location is absolutely perfect. Interiors are of refined taste. Our gentle maids were committed to satisfy our demands with joy. Our chef Ruth did her best to make 8 people happy. The snorkeling was great and it was just on the other side of the fence. We are missing this place already and we would like to come back for more relaxation at La Paloma garden. It was truly fantastic.

I have stayed now 4 times in La Paloma and loved, absolutely loved, every visit. The house is beautifully positioned a cricket ball throw from the unbelievably sparkling sea; you sit on the veranda and just see the Caribbean at its most scintillating. (OK, like nearly everywhere on the West coast, the road is on the other side of the house but it does not impinge). It has excellent parking for 3 cars is so convenient for shops, Bridgetown, Sandy Lane and trips all over the island and is only 3 mins from The Cliff! It is brilliantly equipped - better than my house back home, though the TV reception is a bit hit and miss - like mine back home, but the kids love the beach and the newly installed pool so, who cares? The staff are gorgeous local ladies and deserve to be treated as such; a smile and a bit of politeness and they will do anything for you (well, almost!). Their cooking is generous and Barbadian in style. Subtlety you can get at The Cliff. I have come here with friends and family and the accommodation is perfect for both. Everyone I have been here with have all loved it and would come back themselves time and again. I certainly hope to as it is exceptional and exceptional value.

My wife and I had a wonderful stay at La Paloma with our 6 month old son and my wife's parents. The house is very comfortable, private, and tastefully decorated. We enjoyed relaxing on the completely shaded veranda overlooking the beach, which was just steps away. The housekeeper, Nora, and cook, Ruth, were so welcoming and doted on our infant while preparing healthy, delicious meals for our family. The home was so comfortable, we spent most of our time relaxing, sleeping soundly with the sound of the waves outside our windows, and eating meals with a gentle sea breeze. The house is big enough that multiple families can enjoy privacy in their respective quarters.

We spent one day driving around the island sightseeing. Most of the attractions are close by, so we didn't feel a need to wander too much. Why bother when you can walk out the door and snorkel on a secluded beach with gentle warm water? I saw colorful fish and even a couple harmless eels on my daily snorkel outings. We did enjoy a catamaran tour of the island from the main port including swimming with enormous and graceful sea turtles. We also rented a Hobie Cat for a couple hours one afternoon with my father-in-law by walking a few yards down the beach. One evening, my wife and I walked barefoot 200 yards down the beach to a fancy and tasty Italian restaurant right on the beach for a romantic candle lit dinner for two while the grandparents watched our little one. It doesn't get much better than that!

We can highly recommend La Paloma as a wonderful, relaxing place to stay for families. We look forward to our next visit to La Paloma.

My husband and I absolutely loved our stay in this beautiful villa. The location was even better than we imagined - just a few steps away from the lapping caribbean sea where we could swim, snorkle and sunbathe.
The veranda was a wonderful place for our party of 9 to catch up on the day's events over a rum cocktail whilst the sun set over the sea in all it's glory! The villa itself is superbly maintained with fantastic facilities to keep you occupied if you do decide to take a break form the caribbean sunshine and the air-conditioning in the bedrooms makes night times very comfortable. The cook and the housemaid were very welcoming and made our stay all the more relaxing. It was wonderful to taste some of the traditional caribbean cuisine and enjoy home-prepared food rather than going to restaurants all the time.
That said, the location is ideally suited with shops, a supermarket and some great local restaurants all within easy distance. As a one-off, ultimate dining experience I thoroughly recommend "The Cliff" restaurant, although do be prepared for the rather pricey bill at the end of the night!
All in all this villa (La Paloma) is a very special place. Staying here enabled my husband and I to fully appreciate the wonders of Barbados in comfort and in style. We definitely hope to return one day.
