Musuems Tate Modern: London’s Gallery Dedicated to Modern Art, Tate Modern displays art dating from 1900 to present day, and is a great visit for art fanatics staying in London vacation rentals. Located close to London Bridge and on the South Bank, artist featured here showcase the best of the past century. With both temporary and permanent collections, Tate Modern was the first museum dedicated to modern art in London.

Permanent exhibits at Tate Modern include works that revolve around the four hubs of the gallery: Surrealism, Minimalism, post-war abstraction in Europe and the US, and the three linked movements—Cubism, Futurism, and Vorticism.

Both the temporary and the permanent exhibits in the Tate Modern show the finest trends in modern art. more than 60,000 works in its four locations.

It has proved to be very popular with the public attracting over 5 million visitors.

Globe Theatre: The Globe Theatre is a faithful reconstruction of the open-air playhouse, first built in 1599, where Shakespeare worked and for which he wrote many of his greatest plays.

Each year the theatre season runs from April to October with productions of work by Shakespeare and his contemporaries, as well as modern writers. Each year over 350,000 members of the audience experience the 'wooden O' sitting in a gallery or standing as a grounding in the yard, just as they would have done 400 years ago.

From 3 October the Globe continues its work though the Exhibition and Tour, Globe Education programme and the launch of Globe to Globe on October 27.

Outside of the UK the Globe will be taking a small scale tour of the US with The Comedy of Errors, in November.

Theatre performances in the main theatre will recommence on 21 April 2012 with the opening of Globe to Globe.

Other Tourist attractions: The flat is located moments from the riverside and a ferry to Greenwich to the East and Westminster Abbey and Richmond to the West. The SouthBank is one of London's premier locations in terms of arts and museums from the National Film Theatre and the South Bank Centre. Walk across the Millenium Bridge walkway to St Pauls Cathedral or carry on toward London Eye. Cross over here for Covent Garden, Trafalgar Square and toward Buckingham Palace.

London Bridge is also one of the main British Rail hubs with a good underground link to the Northern Line and Jubillee lines.
