The "jordaan'area is a hotspot in Amsterdam Tourists and locals among duch. It is close to the center and actually Also part of the center. The apartment is only 15 minutes walking from the main station and 10 minutes walking from the Dam Square. The apartment is located in a very lively street popular with very nice bars and restaurants where there are always a lot of people hanging out. From the street you can see the famous Westertoren (see also in the pictures). The apartment is about 50-55 m2 and HAS WiFi internet and cable TV. Also very handy are the washing machine with a dryer and a separate dishwasher! From the apartment in Amsterdam Everything is in walking distance. To give you a relaxing start of your holiday you Will Be received with a cold bottle of prosecco (sparkling wine very nice). Hope to welcome you soon:))

I'll start by saying that the location is great, it really is fantastic. It's about a 5 minute walk to the Anne Frank House and maybe 10-15 minutes walk to Dam Square. There are lots of restaurants around (although check the times, lots were closed fairly early, before 9pm when we we were there) and 2 grocery stores nearby.
However, this place got a low mark because it wasn't quite as advertised. I don't really care about a "cold bottle of prosecco", but if you promise it in the ad, which they do at the very top, you should provide it. Or if it was just a way to get people to book it when they first posted this unit, they should update the ad and remove this. Either way, there was no prosecco, which wasn't the only thing they didn't provide.
The posting promises soap basics, but there were none provided other than a bottle of shampoo and conditioner. There was no hand soap, no dishwasher tabs, no dish detergent, no laundry soap, absolutely nothing. We were glad that we were prepared and had brought our own, having had problems with previous rentals promising to provide items and finding none when we showed up.
I would also say that despite their posting say that it is "suitable for elderly or infirm", it really isn't. There is a very very steep flight of stairs that even my husband, who is quite fit, had trouble climbing. I have some difficulties walking, but can certainly do stairs better than the elderly or infirm and found the stairs difficult to climb when carrying a cup of coffee as I really needed the hand rail to get up the stairs.
The other thing was when the manager showed up to meet us - fairly late I would say since I called him before collecting our luggage at the airport and we got there before he did - he raced through the basic information. We wound up having to ask him how to work the heat, where the nearest grocery store was, directions to the main street, the wi-fi password, etc. He basically wanted to give us the keys, collect his money and leave. I think that when being shown an apartment to people unfamiliar with a city or the area, it's best to show them where things in the apartment are located, how things work, where to find the nearest amenities, etc.
Overall, not terribly impressed with the management of this unit. It could've been great if they'd provided everything they promised and hadn't rushed us through our check in, making it obvious they're just there to make a quick buck.

Great location and landlord

Three ladies visiting Amsterdam needed local apartment within walking distance to activities. We rented this site and were very pleased. We walked the entire inner canal area, attending museums, gardens, restaurants. The only thing that we were leary about was the steep staircase to get to the flat. However, this became a workout point since we needed to work off the calories from the ice cream shop right across from our entrance. This did cause street noise, but not too late. Within the same block were great restaurants including an Italian one two doors down that was a highlight of our trip. The apartment owner and partner were very courteous and helped us with anything we needed. We had no phone but the wifi in the apt allowed us to contact him and other ticket locations, as well. It was very clean and offered all the normal kitchen amenities. I would highly recommend this location and would stay there again.

My parents, sister and I stayed at this apartment for 10 days this November, and I have to say this was the BEST apartment we have ever rented on a holiday!! The location of course is fantastic, but what was even better was the lovely touches that Hev, our host put in... The apartment was exactly as in the description and the pictures, if not better, and well stocked with small details in the kitchen (pasta, coffee, salt, suger, etc) as well as the bathroom (bath wash, shampoo, hand wash, etc). The dishwasher, clothes washer and drier were very convenient, and Hev even left a hair drier and iron for us on a request. It is a perfect apartment for four people comfortably as the couch turns into a very very comfortable bed. Not only was everything perfect, we were delighted with the welcome bottles of wine & beer! Thank you Hev, and we miss your apartment already!! Hoping to be back again soon...Warmest regards from all of us!

Great Apartment

I stayed at this apartment for a week in October with my wife. It was a lovely stay, the apartment is great, excelent location (walking distance to most of Amsterdam), well maintained, very clean and properly equipped.
Would not hesitate to stay there again and to recomend this apartment to anyone.
