Thanks so much! (Aug 2009)

This property is even better than the pictures displayed. We had a great time and didn't want to leave. The lanai and pool was the main attraction for my family. We're already planning our next vacation at this property. You won't be disappointed if you stay here.

PS The property was spotless and very clean.

Perfect vacation november 2008

When we arrived late at night from Orlando, the house were well prepared by the agent with a really nice welcome kit with something for the night and some breakfirst for the next morning - perfect!

The kids loved the pool and jacuzzi, since it was heated we could enjoy it at morning and night as well as during the day. The house were also equipped with a lot of poolside towel for everyone.

The house is located by the channels, however and the end of one channel i.e. not much boat traffic outside the house.

I would also recommend the beaches of Sanibel and Captiva Island. For dining - the restaurant Rumrunners in the very nice harbour area has really good food. The closest supermarket Publix has everything and with good quality.

Thanks to Bobbie for all information before our stay and providing such a nice house for our vacation!

Comfortable Home

Review Submitted: August 25, 2008 Date of Stay: August 2008
We stayed in this villa for a week with 3 other couples aged 50+. We enjoyed a very relaxing week in a well equipped comfortable home which was in easy reach of shops and restaurants. The house was very clean and well maintained. The pool area is in full sun for most of the day - ideal if you do not fancy driving to the beach everyday. Plenty of towels were provided so there is definitely no need to take your own. We particularly enjoyed Ruby Tuesday's restaurant which was close to the nearest Publix supermarket at the junction of Santa Barbara Boulevard and Veterans Memorial Parkway. Bobbie (the owner) was always very helpful and informative, and the local agent was very helpful and quick to respond when we had a slight problem with the electrics.

Santa Barbara

This really is a lovely house with virtually every amenity you could need. The furnishings are very comfortable and there is plenty of space for relaxing in the air conditioned rooms which are kept at a very pleasant temperature. The lanai is very spacious and ideal for outside dining and the pool is just right with easily managed steps and sensible depths for both standing and swimming. The property does overlook other houses across the canal but they are quite a distance away and do not really impose on the view at all. Being at the far end of the canal there is virtually no boat activity and it is very tranquil here with only the splashing of feeding fish to disturb the peace. It's quite close to local amenities (supermarket/garage/restaurants etc) - can recommend Rumrunners about 10 minutes drive away - lovely setting and good food.

A must stay villa

Torie Leeds, UK
Review Submitted: February 7, 2008 Date of Stay: December 2007
I have travelled a lot around Florid and stayed in many villas but none have lived up to the standard of this luxurious villa.

There was nothing I could fault (and I am very picky).

My partner and I went to the villa for a relaxing break away from a hetic life but I would have no doubt at recommending the villa for famalies of all ages.

The spa and pool were wonderfully warm and unlike many villas I have stayed in there was not a lock on the pool heater. There are also plenty of poolside towels which are soft to the touch.

All the bedrooms had cable TV which was not linked to the main (very big) TV in the lounge. Speaking of the lounge, the carpet there was to die for, so soft beneith your feet - perfect after a hard day shopping!

The villa is equipped with everything you could ask for and more, including bikes, fishing rods, books and even board games. The villa is on a waterway with a boat dock at the back so it is so easy to hire a boat and go for a trip.

Although there are several places to eat very close to the villa the kitchen was well equiped.

The main bedroom which we slept in has a beautiful bathroom and walk through shower. The main and other en-suite bathroom are just as beautiful and well equipped. All the fluffy towels match the decor perfectly.

All the rooms were spotless and had lovely clean crisp bedding which complimented the room decor.

One thing that was very handy was a map that the owner has placed on one of the walls showing places of interests, places to eat and shops. This was a wonderful touch and would be invaluable to someone who had never been to the area before.

The villa is in prime location for the Publix, Target, Walmart and other stores and shopping centres. It is also close to the cinema and beautiful resteraunts.

Thanks to Bobbie for letting us stay and for also letting us return this December.

My golf group travels several times a year, to where ever the weather is warm, and I would have to say that Santa Barbara House is one of the most accomadating homes that we have stayed in. Everything that you could ask for is provided in this home. The pool is great, the hot tub is great, the kitchen is great, the bedding is great, the TVs are great,,and Bobbie is great to work with. We had a wonderful time, and we just cant wait until next year when we return. Thanks so much Bobbie.
