When I first visited Karmylassos Cottages in 2006 I was completely overwhelmed by the overall appearance and ambience of the place. It is quite stunning, completely private, peaceful and totally relaxing.

The spacious gardens and pool area are beautiful, with comfortable sunbeds and there’s no rush to grab one in the morning!

The cottages are very well maintained, comfortably furnished, well equipped and above all, spotlessly clean. They are very spacious both internally and externally, each having it’s own outdoor dining area. Ideal for a leisurely midday lunch, and with enough facilities, space and comfort to enjoy cooking and dining al-fresco in the evening.

The owners Vedat and Sue are perfect hosts. Always busy in the background, totally honest and trustworthy, and always glad to help organise trips or recommend places to dine. They love to have a friendly chat and will be pleased if you join them for a drink or a bite to eat at their quaint little bar, and will even lay on a barbeque evening if you wish.

It’s not essential to hire a car as the local dolmus stop is just a short stroll away and is cheap and frequent. Taxis are reasonable also. But if you do hire a car and can tear yourself away from the sunbed, there are lots of places to visit

The historical rural village of Kaya itself is a short, pleasant stroll away, with a handful of restaurants to choose from, one or two of them very good. The village is quite rustic, very quiet and laid back, just a couple of shops for fresh bread and essentials, and even a local farmer selling his fresh fruit and vegetables.

I will be returning for my 3rd visit this year, 2010, to enjoy what I know will be another fabulous holiday in wonderful surroundings and safe in the knowledge that if there is a problem, Vedat the owner, is on hand to sort it out immediately.
