Perfect location, spacious, modern and quiet
We travelled as a family of five, with two 15-year olds, and a 7 year old. The apartment exceeded our expectations. It was on the third floor but since there was an elevator this was not a problem. It was not more than a minute or two to the entrance of the Vatican museum. And even with a seven year old we could walk to places like the Colosseum, Foro Romano, Trastavere (wonderful neighboorhood with affordable restaurants and several piazzas), Piazza Navona, Campo di Fiori, Fontana di Trevi and The Spanish steps. We walked in one direction and took the subway in the other.
It was a quiet neghbourhood. Across the street there was a gelateria (delicious Italian ice cream) and there were two pizzerias within 15 yards. The subway was only a few minutes away and very easy to find. You simply turned the corner and stayed on the main street until you hit the station. Along the mailn street there were sveral stores, a pharmacy and restaurants. There was also a well equipped super market around the other corner of the street of the apartment.
The apartment was very spacious. We could easily sit five people around the kitchen table. The two bedrooms were large with plenty of wardrobes to hang our clothes. There were two well equipped bathrooms with a shower in each in connection to the bedrooms. This makes the apartment ideal for two couples travelling together. We also had access to Wifi without charge. Furthermore, each room had seperate remotes for the aircondition, which worked just fine.
The apartment was in excellent condition and very clean. There were more things than we thought there would be: a dish washer, a washing machine, an iron and an iron board, a first aid kit, a hair dryer, you name it!
And last, but not least, the owner Roberta and Daniella who worked for Roberta were very nice and friendly. They both explained how everything worked and patiently answered all our queistions. Roberta had bought some things for us to eat and drink when we arrived. And later on when we couldn't get the Internet to work, Roberta's husband came by the apartment and fixed it!
If I have to mention something that we had problems with it would be the gass stove. We've never used one before and we had a hard time to light it. But we only used the stove in the morning to make fresh coffee.
We will definately stay here again the next time we come to Rome and truly reccomend our friends to do the same.
